Want Cash? ATMs to Demand Biometric Verification: “Smartphone and Eye Scan To Dispense Money”

biometric ATMBy Mac Slavo

Some of the longest standing fears have been based around the idea that once cash is fully banned, the last remaining vestiges of freedom will go with it.

While that remains to be seen in total, it is clear that a digital matrix of computer-based spending, surveillance and control is taking over more and more of our lives.

Now that system wants to scan your iris and even talk with your smartphone in order to allow you to access your own hard-earned money.

Sadly, this eerie new world order scenario is closer to reality than ever before.

While cash will still be around for now, it is about to become more tightly controlled than ever before. Most banks are now limiting withdrawals and flagging customers with large cash requests as suspicious to law enforcement or federal agencies.

Meanwhile, he next generation of ATMs – while still spitting out bills – will focus more on technological verification of patrons, and even biometric verification.

With growing concerns over digital security and authentication, privacy is all but dead.

NBC News reports on the surprising changes that could be fast approaching the cash machine you frequent around the corner or down the street:

No card reader, no PIN pad, no touch-screen display — how you bank at your ATM could drastically change in the not-so-distant future. Citigroup is testing an automated teller machine made by Canton, Ohio-based Diebold that relies on your smartphone and perhaps an eye scan to dispense your cash.

Diebold’s so-called “Irving” system works like this: Let’s say you want to get $100 from your ATM. Instead of taking your bank card with you, you schedule your withdrawal ahead of time on your phone via your bank’s mobile app. When you walk up to the screenless machine, it identifies you in one of several ways: Near Field Communication (NFC, the same type of technology used in Apple Pay’s mobile payment service), QR Code (for Quick Response Code, a machine-readable bar code that’s been used extensively in Japan) or biometrics (scanning your iris, a technique that’s considered far more fail-safe than fingerprints as a form of ID).The machine then spits out the cash and you go on your merry way.

Diebold said the entire transaction could be completed in less than 10 seconds. The new system is more secure than traditional ATMs, in part because you wouldn’t need a card and wouldn’t have to punch in a PIN, the company said.

[…]

“Our latest concepts embody a new era of banking and put the user experience at the top of the pyramid to connect consumers with their money when and how they see fit,” Frank Natoli, Diebold executive vice president, self-service technology, said in a press release.

While Diebold has been in the ATM machine business for many years, it is hardly reassuring that the big banks will be teaming up with the company know for its voting fraud scandals to keep “your” money secure from meddling. What could possibly go wrong?

Moreover, the more entangled and dependent our system of commerce becomes on technology, the worse it will be if/when the grid collapses. While it is already true that ATMs won’t be available in the event of a massive power outage, the requirement for not only ATMs, but smartphones and other devices to all work seems to invite trouble and further complications.

ATMs already represent sharp fees and tight control of cash – the price is high and the amount per day is strictly limited – though its distribution happens at a nearly infinite number of points. Banks see cash as a problem because it can be freely exchanged on the black and grey markets, stuffed under the mattress and used without direct surveillance. Moreover, cash is an instrument that allows customers to circumvent their institution and fees, and keeps them from leveraging that balance many times over.

This new era may have many conveniences, but the near-total electronic control of currency will put a handful of institutions in control of the economy, and will make history as the most invasive and authoritarian form of money ever created. Already, things are only shades away from the Mark of the Beast system so many have warned against and watched for… the masses will be somewhere between cogs in the machine and slaves to the system.

  1. I’ll be participating in Biometric Verification on the 12TH of NEVER.
I belong to a credit union, and I don’t see them making this mandatory.
This is what “cabal” banks will push, and it’s one step into the dark side.

    • As with so many other aspects of life in our society today, the key word here is “CONTROL.”

    • Me too, I haven’t belonged to a bank for 35 years. Credit Unions are the best. Besides, banks if they could they would charge you to use the bathroom. They charge for everything else though. I’m surprised they are still in business.

      • Why are credit units better than banks?

        • Credit unions are co-operatives, non-profits owned by their members.

          • OK. So what does that do for my finances?

          • It will usually give you better interest rates on loans, lower or NO fees for the numerous things banks charge for and you OWN a portion of the CU so you have a say in how it is run!

Try telling Bank of America how to run it’s operations – if they even listen to you, they will be laughing their rear ends off!! CU’s elect officers from among their members, giving you much more input into how it’s run. You’re generally treated much better at a credit union, you’re not some mindless customer, you’re a MEMBER with a VOTE and the employees at the credit union should recognize that status difference!

          • Clay Fitzgerald | October 29, 2015 at 1:42 pm |

Much higher interest rates on savings and checking accounts and more favorable rates on loans are two. That’s because CU’s are in business to provide benefit to the members since they are non-profit not to enhance the bottom line as for profit corporate banks.

        • No monthly charge,
          Reimburse ATM charges
They aren’t abusive with “Overdraft Fees”
Credit unions don’t push multiple accounts, or credit cards on you.
When you apply for a loan they let you know pretty quick.
I will never return to cabal banking.

          • Which one are you with? How do I find one? How are they about paying interest on saving accounts, borrowing money.

          • Rachel Flanagan | November 1, 2015 at 5:00 pm |

University Federal Credit Union ATX, they have sister banks around the USA.

    • It will be , total control, all forms of cash will be monitored , banks & credit unions. Oh, & the inter-net will be monitored 24/7 as if it isn’t now, supposedly it isn’t now. Even your phones at home, cell phones are being monitored now. When the cameras are everywhere yo will finally be in total control of UNCLE SAM, your friendly KGB of the U.S. of Russia.

      • What do you think the tracking wires in new bills are for?? So they can tell how much money you’re carrying and where you keep it.

        Buy gold and silver.

        • The “tracking wires” in bills enable detection if you are carrying over 10K in cash when leaving the USA without declaring the fact. If so, it is subject to confiscation.

      • Yep, that’s why I’m headed off-grid (early retirement)
When the time comes, I’ll happily trade-in technology to regain my privacy.

  2. People worry about a DNA data base, this is even better, no relatives to be confused with when the brown shirts come for you, your eye scan is even more individual than a fingerprint.

  3. Tell me what happens with your money in America,if you live overseas?

  4. The mark of the beast is right around the corner so get ready. The Bible is the truth; it says that in order to buy or to sell you must have this mark. People are not considering those that cannot afford the smartphone or even putting money in the bank; what will these individuals be able to purchase with; their souls?

    • yep sell your soul to the Devil,

    • Why do you thing the Obama admin and liberals are pushing so hard to persecute and marginalize Christians?? So when they go to implement the mark of the beast, they’ll just dismiss the complaints and protests from the Christian community as nonsense from a bunch of luddites.

    • They complain that not everyone can afford an ID to vote (right?), then expect everyone getting government checks (disability, SS, etc.) to have a bank account for mandatory automatic deposit.

Also, toll roads are going cashless. PA solicited input through targeted surveys before they were going to decide to go cashless, and I gave them a lot of legitimate concerns. For example, the collected data had no ‘retention expiration’ date, and also hackers might steal our data from their less-than-secure government database. No one contacted me or wrote a response…..and about 6 months later I read in the paper that the gov. had voted to make tolls electronic-only.

  5. There is still the barter system. Get your silver and gold coins out. Price of a loaf of bread; silver dime, price of a nice new car 15 oz. of gold. The black and gray markets will survive, but will not use the dollar. I will require that I am handed the cash by a teller, just to make the bank hire a real live person.

  6. I definitely think that this will eventually be the Mark of the beast, a chip in the hand or forehead, then you don’t even need a smartphone, in fact we might even communicate with each other with these microchips. As far as the actual Mark, I believe from scripture, that we will absolutely know that it is the “Mark of the Beast”, we will absolutely have to make a choice, and if we don’t get it, we will have our heads cut off. Makes one wonder if it won’t have something to do with radical Islam, doesn’t it?

    • Just watch and pray. The Jews at the time of Christ thought they knew what the Messiah would look and act like, and they totally missed it (I realize there’s more to that story than just wrong expectations). The enemy is so subtle, and the beast system may slide into ID control with voluntary biometrics. I suppose the dead (pun intended) giveaway will be when they want to imbed the mark on a hand or forehead.

But read that passage in Revelation carefully! It also says “…or the number of his name,” meaning that participation in the beast system includes taking the mark OR letting them use the number of your name. The One World government won’t have time to chip the whole world before Jesus puts an end to their scheme.

  7. is this the start of the Mark of the beast ?

  8. What many don’t see from this article and is almost universally implemented today is that it also requires you to have a “smart” phone (a.k.a., government tracking device) with you. The vast majority of sheeple are already enslaved to the government via the “convenience” of having instant communications to any place on the globe from any place on the globe. I do not now, nor will I ever, own a cellular telephone. The primary reason is that I don’t believe that you have a right to disturb me 24/7 anywhere I happen to be located. The second is that I have known from the inception of cellular technology that every 10 seconds your cell phone announces your identity and location to whomever…

In the late 1980’s early 1990’s I worked for GTE in their cellular division as an IT expert. I was on the team that developed a program for a trucking company to track their fleet location in real time. The writing was on the wall for me way back then that the probability of abuse by “law enforcement” and government was 100%, Every few seconds your telephone (including “dumb” phones) broadcasts it’s ESN/MID combination (Electronic Serial Number/ Mobile ID) that is picked up by any cell site in range and is relayed to the validation service that makes certain you don’t owe the company money. This happens whether it is on or off. The only way to disable this “feature” is to remove the battery and have the telephone stored in a metal box. How do you think that a call from London finds your telephone in Boise and rings to tell you that you have a call?

A few years after I left their employ, there was a minor brouhaha in Atlanta when it leaked out that the police department was tracking cell phones traveling down I-75. Their excuse was so that they could determine traffic patterns and set speed limits to keep things rolling. However, word also leaked out that they were timing individual signals for speed and had begun stopping cars they determined were speeding. “Big Brother” keeping you “safe”.

I do a fair amount of international travel. I don’t have a cell phone and border patrol didn’t believe it during one crossing and detained me for six hours until I could produce one (George Bush declared that it was legal for “Homeland Security” to confiscate any electronic device at the border and clone it). I don’t carry anything across the border. I backup my laptop and store the file on a foreign server. I then buy a new computer and download and restore when I arrive at my destination (it’s encrypted). One time they tried to strong-arm me into revealing my account and password, but the Supreme Court said a few years ago that they don’t have that right at the moment.

all passports now have RFID chips embedded in the binding in the fold. You can be detected at 75 feet by anyone with an RFID transceiver. Unfortunately, when I received my last passport, it accidentally went through a set of metal rollers that crushed the glass chip. Since it still has its bar code, it is a legal passport, it just can’t be read at a distance or tracked.

Very shortly, having problems accessing your money through an ATM will become the least of your problems.

These banks really want to loose all their customers. Diebold who is behind the electronic voting machines fraud, is in on this as well. Look up their history working with murdering profiteers. American needs to opt out of this nonsense. A private pass code needs to replace the social security numbers. These codes also shouldn’t be linked to your personal information. This way they can track a bunch of ghosts codes and have no way to coerce, blackmail, kidnap, harass, or wrongly imprison dissenters etc.

    • Yes something so simple I agree, but one problem is even SS cards are not to be used for ID’s ever. Yet all business get away with it. And soon they would require you to use YOUR SECRET PASS> This is a police state and unfortunately unless your top rich of this country there is nothing you can do about it. Follow the money always. The poor can not afford to run anywhere. It always takes money.Period.

  10. It is good in some ways , less chance of a stolen card being used by a felon & making sure the owner of the card is using it & no one else. It does bring up other problems but minor in comparison to the 1st 2. The problem is that while they are making withdrawls BIG BROTHER is keeping a big eye on you, what you spend, how you spend it, locations, deposits & times of each. We are heading into a gov’t against the people country anymore. None of this was voted on , nor were we asked if we wanted this. You are all now apart of a country that is like the ones we don’t want to be, controlled & watched by big brother, 25 years from now we won’t have any freedoms anymore. A lot of this will be caused by the great influx of all the illegals, countries that we are accepting in large quantities from the arab countries who will be flooding this country soon. Have you ever noticed that we aren’t asked about anything anymore, no polls & even when we do have a poll the govt doesn’t care, it yells POLICE STATE, now doesn’t it. Again think about 25 years into the future.

  11. I’ll put my money in a bank that doesn’t do that. I wonder if the gov’t will require all banks to do it.

    • Your naive, do research

      • I have noticed a lot of big businesses are requiring employees to go direct deposit or use debit card specifically for that company. I work for a multi million dollar auto parts store they quit giving paper checks the only way you can get paid is by using the card service like ours, global cash card or direct deposit to your checking. Just another way for them to keep track

        • Yes Jo you are correct. Most company’s now , doesn’t matter if private or public, or gov or professional, they are all turning to direct deposit. And your right it is all about control. Our gov is complete out of control. Rand Paul and Ted Cruz are on the filibusterer right now to try and stop the so called “debt deal”. I am mountain and it’s 2100 hrs or (9;00 PM) for those of you that don’t know 24 hour clock.

          • It’s turning into a scary world out there and its amazing to me how some just don’t see it. Blinded by stupidity I suppose.

          • Yes you are correct again, some are just blind/deaf/dumb. I guess that will never change. At least a few are still waking up. Lets hope/pray that they wake up soon enough and for the right reasons. Bless you Jo and bless America.

        • Fxcking sick isn’t it jo?

  12. I refuse to get an iPhone just so I can get cash out of a machine. I also don’t want to have to rely on a smartphone to do that either!! Cards with NFC and/or chips in them are a major scam!! Those cards are supposedly even more secure than the magnetic stripe cards – BS!!! NOBODY can read my card (magnetic stripe tech) in my wallet by walking close by me. NOBODY can use my card w/o the pin number!

This has NOTHING to do with security and everything to do with control over you and your money!

  13. As a retired banker with one of the largest banks, I can assure you that requiring SS number to open an account was required *decades* before the Patriot Act. Among other things, it enables checking your credit report before opening an account, plus reporting income to IRS, etc., etc.

  14. The banks are already working for irs. Last year I sold my car that I had owned for 5 years & when I deposited the check, wells fargo gave me the third degree. They accused me of being in business of buying & selling cars. I don’t recommend wells “fart-go” bank.

  15. Many Government buildings have required Palm print and Iris verification for a while.

  16. in America, if we want to get cash…WE WILL GET CASH!!!!! this is America, and it is owned BY THE PEOPLE, not the government…they can NOT do this without the permission of the PEOPLE…AND THEY WON’T GET IT…AMERICA, LOVE IT OR GET THE F’K OUT…

    • Have you studied history? Tyrants with militaries and power do what they want. On rare occassion, the people stop them. Of course, we must always try, even if the odds are against us.

      • have you studied history?? there has NEVER been a nation like ours, tyrants in other countries only got away with it because the people were tricked into being dis-armed, and in those nations the government and military are one in the same…here in America, the people own and rule this country, that includes our military, because we are our military…the American people are the largest army in the world…NOTHING WILL BE TAKEN FROM US UNLESS WE ALLOW IT…PERIOD…

  17. ” to put users experience at the top of the pyramid”? B.S.!!! This about control! I already have great experience at the ATM! F#ck this banking system! I don’t even own a smart phone nor do I want one!

  18. Cool! When millions of people get eye cancer from the scanners, they can sue the banks for billions!

  19. Excellent post, and very informative. Thank you.
Yes, I know the credit unions will be obligated if the time comes.
Our beautiful country, like our earth, is under siege by dark forces.
The powers that be, truly are psychotic, and have put America and the planet on a collision course with disaster(s) to bring in the NWO.

  20. I’m wondering when America is going to say “enough” and put a stop to this crap. And that includes the marxist administration in the WH. Are we actually going to stand by and allow this bunch of criminals continue on their path? If we don’t stop them, there will never be another election. obanana’s “dream from his father” is to completely control America and the only way he can do that is to declare Martial Law BEFORE the next election and he has us, lock, stock and barrel! After that, there will be all sorts of controlling crap being instituted, right down to the prophesied number on our person. It’s just a matter of time before Diebold will be inventing a chip for that!
