Perfect Timing: Florida Man Arrested for 9/11 Memorial Bomb Plot

terror alertBy Joshua Krause

The propaganda mill was treated to a conveniently timed revelation late Thursday night, when our government announced that they had foiled a terrorist attack on the eve of the anniversary for 9/11. Joshua Ryne Goldberg of Orange Park, Florida was arrested for plotting an attack on an upcoming 9/11 memorial ceremony in Kansas City, Missouri.

As is usually the case, Goldberg was caught by an FBI informant. He first garnered the attention of the FBI back in May after he took credit for inspiring the attack on the Muhammed Art Exhibit in Garland Texas. Apparently, several days before the shooting he had called for an attack on the event on Twitter, and posted a map of the building. The FBI told their informant to contact him, and they had been communicating with each other since July. Goldberg allegedly gave him directions to build a pressure cooker bomb, and told him to attack the 9/11 ceremony.

In a conversation Aug. 17, Goldberg told the informant, “Hopefully there will be some jihad on the anniversary of 9/11.” Days later, when the source volunteered to take part in an attack, Goldberg allegedly provided him with detailed plans to manufacture explosives, specifically pipe bombs and a pressure cooker bomb.

The instructions, the FBI reports, were “accurate.”

On Aug. 20, Goldberg elaborated. “Have you decided what kind of attack you want to carry out on 9/11, akhi? I was thinking a bombing. … We could make pipe bombs and detonate them at a large public event… It needs to be big,” he’s quoted as saying in the indictment.

Later, Goldberg lobbied instead for his informant to manufacture a bomb out of a pressure cooker, akin to the device used in the Boston Marathon bombing, the complaint said. He allegedly suggested his contact fill the device with shrapnel and poison to inflict maximum damage, saying his contact should use “shards of metal and nails. … Broken glass would probably work too. Just put as much sharp stuff as you can in there.”

“If you can, dip the screws and other shrapnel in rat poison before putting them in. That way, the kuffar who get hit by them will be more likely to die,” Goldberg told the informant.

Much like most of the terror plots that the FBI has foiled over the past decade, Goldberg probably couldn’t accomplish anything on his own. He was a 20-year-old kid living with his parents, who posted on ISIS websites claiming that he was a Lebanese refugee living in Australia, and who believed that he had enough charisma to inspire terror attacks over Twitter. In other words, he was an idiot. Or as other sources have suggested, he is simply a really misguided internet troll.

The affidavit, released by Special agent William Berry of US Customs and Border Protection, says that Goldberg had initially denied to officers that he had any involvement with distributing information on how to make a bomb, but then later admitted it.

“Goldberg further admitted that he believed the information would create a genuine bomb,” Agent Berry alleged.

However, Goldberg also claimed that he meant for the person he was communicating with to either kill himself creating the bomb or, that Goldberg intended to warn police in time so that he would receive “credit for stopping the attack.”

In conversations with Fairfax Media, which were also cited in the affidavit, Mr Goldberg had said he did not expect any jihadist to actually carry out an attack because: “These guys are pussy keyboard warriors”.

That made him the perfect stooge for one of the FBI’s staged terror plots, which is his only true crime. Like most government agencies, the FBI needs to justify its existence, so from time to time they have to remind the American public that there are bogeymen out to get them. So they encourage tools like Goldberg to say something incriminating, and they can have a “terrorist” plastered all over the news and thrown in jail on an as needed basis.

On this occasion, their faux terror plot arrived just in time for the anniversary of 9/11. How convenient?

  1. HO-HUM, more fabricated FBI crimes to entrape dummies into doing the FBI’s bidding.

  2. Uh, I don’t get it. Or perhaps I do…FBI sets up a dumb Jewish kid living in his mom’s basement for spreading bomb making information to imaginary extremists (anyone can get such info on the Internet, and I recall a kid in my high school selling pipe bombs to other kids at school in 1960 or so–including my scary older brother who bought one with his paper route money) to explode in…where? Sounds like they’ve apprehended the criminal of the century, here. Actually I feel much safer now, seriously, that this is the level of terror we’re down to (threat level chartreuse) though it must be a tad embarrassing for some poor LEO to have this bit of crime-stopping genius plastered to his resume.

Who benefits from this amazing and bold tax-payer-funded sting operation? Anyone trying to prove we should not have a free and open Internet. Or allow kids access to kitchen equipment. Or let idiots live in their parents’ basement. Or allow people wearing underwear onto planes. Or… Why is this newsworthy?

As I said at first, I don’t get it. But what should we expect from a nation whose President couldn’t tell the difference between the words “library” and “liberty,” so decided to set the FBI loose on both.

And on the eve of 9/11? Just how much do they imagine they can wring out of a heinous false flag operation which is nearly a decade and a half old?
