Dismantle, Don’t Reform The Welfare Warfare State

By Free State Project

What is the free society for which libertarians yearn? Is it a warmed-over, reformed, reigned-in version of the serfdom system under which we live? On the contrary, it is a society in which people are free to live their lives anyway they want so long as their conduct is peaceful. That means dismantling, not reforming or reining in, the entire federal welfare-warfare apparatus, including the IRS, DEA, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, subsidies, bailouts, foreign aid, the Pentagon, CIA, NSA, and entire national-security establishment.

Jacob G. Hornberger is founder and president of The Future of Freedom Foundation. He was born and raised in Laredo, Texas, and received his B.A. in economics from Virginia Military Institute and his law degree from the University of Texas. He was a trial attorney for twelve years in Texas. He also was an adjunct professor at the University of Dallas, where he taught law and economics.

  1. To think pre 1930 labour and social policies are effective, and people(corporations and ceos)should be allowed to make 5 thousand times the median average is perfect feed for the current narrative. How can someone be worth a hundred millions lives? Or a million? This is not a decree for a one tier society, but certainly a better trajectory.

  2. Every dollar used is consent, every dollar used represents a life taken. When you use a dollar, remember the plight of the Native American. With every dollar paid reflect on the suffering of the negro. With every dollar earned, visualize the Chinese Americans toils. With every dollar seen, know the pain of the Middle East!

The love of money is said to be the root of all evil. And as the so-called songs that reverberate on the radio encourage its love, know that far too many Americans fell in love with money. Only to become hallowed versions of themselves. Sad

    • America has bee taken over by international J E W R Y!

      • I’m certain that evil men exist within every race and religion. There actions are rarely my concern, as I can’t control them. Any attempt would make me the same as them.

My concern is me, my actions and my words. My attempts to improve anything will always be there. For in my own improvements, I become closer to evolving, heaven, immortality… Whatever the kids call it these days. Maybe you should look within to find what you seek.

  3. Wow, you seem to be completely clueless.

  4. Didn’t watch the video but I wonder if Hornberger overlooked the BIGGEST PROBLEM, the top of the pyramid of control, the international banksters?

The more apt description is the Banking Warfare model of control. Welfare is a loaded term and essentially just an outgrowth of TPTB creating a Matrix that yokes us at a young age to work in their system to survive with the majority of the productivity going into the propping up their dysfunctional system. Taxes and hidden taxes go back to the belly of the beast and the serfs are expected to grovel for their subsidies to get by.

The vast majority of the “welfare” goes to the banksters and their minions.

  5. The irony is TPTB are working to dismantle the old system and replace it with their Technocratic 1984-esque totalitarian system of human resource micromanagement – down to the genome, if they can.

Incidentally, one strategy to (at least initially) sell the Technocracy scheme appears to be a minimum income or “mincome” as has been floated by the Establishment within the last two years. However, accepting this as part of the larger agenda would come at the heavy price of losing what is left of a truly free humanity. There’s a line in a song that rings true here ….. “every refuge has its price.” Or maybe Welcome to The Machine.

  6. Don’t worry, the system is collapsing already!

  7. Question: Where would the money come from for basic income?

  8. If Israel was swallowed in a giant sinkhole, it’d be the best thing for humanity!
