Brandy Vaughn has no degrees in science and no peer-reviewed research. She was a sales rep, the kind of attractive woman hired to have lunch with doctors and talk them into prescribing the products of her company. Her own child is safe without vaccinations only because most people have them. Hundreds of thousands die each year in areas where there are no vaccination programs. If she wants to conduct research, I suggest she go to one of these areas and live among the unvaccinated.

“Former Big Pharma Rep”sounds like she was an important spokesperson. She wasn’t: she peddled drugs to doctors in exchange for lunch.

    • margaret Bartley

She doesn’t claim to have degrees, she claims to have done her research. Please show any citations that disprove her claim about the ingredients in the vaccines, the high rate of illness of American kids, the lack of testing of vaccines vs. pharmaceuticals, or the high profit margins.

Oh. You can’t. So you resort to name-calling, the lowest form of debate.

      • dale ruff

Research which is not peer-reviewed is worth no more than personal opinion. Show me her research and I will give an analysis. I agree with the claim of industry greed and lack of transparency, but she does not present any research in the video…she just makes assertions. Assertions are not research. Solid research is public and peer-reviewed. You are just believing what she says……………………….without any evidence.d

I didn’t call her names: I pointed out she has no background in science and no peer-reviewed research. That is not the lowest form of debate but a red flag that we are hearing opinion, not scientific research. You can believe what you want…………….but don’t claim it is supported by scientific research which has been subjected to assessment by experts in the field.

To say that sales reps peddle drugs to doctors is a simple fact. That is the job: take the doctor to lunch, make nice, and get him to prescribe the drugs of your company. That is pure and simple peddling drugs. Most drug reps are very attractive people, often women. That is just a fact. Attractive women are hard to say no to, and that is why they are hired. In no way does it make them experts or scientists or qualify them to do high level research.

The US drug industry is dominated by greedy, deceptive corporations; but that does mean that safe vaccinations (and that is where the controversy lies) are not life-saving.

        • Veri Tas

Here’s one example of research to which Brandy Vaughan refers – namely that vaccines are not backed by valid research and are not safe, especially not in the aggregate, as administered to infants and young children:

“Studies have not been conducted to determine the safety (or efficacy) of administering multiple vaccine doses in a variety of combinations as recommended by CDC guidelines. Our findings show a positive correlation between the number of vaccine doses administered and the percentage of hospitalizations and deaths reported to VAERS. In addition, younger infants were significantly more likely than older infants to be hospitalized or die after receiving vaccines. Since vaccines are administered to millions of infants every year, it is imperative that health authorities have scientific data from synergistic toxicity studies on all combinations of vaccines that infants are likely to receive; universal vaccine recommendation must be supported by such studies.”

Human and Experimental Toxicology, 31(10) 1012–1021

Relative trends in hospitalizations and mortality among infants by the number of vaccine doses and age, based on the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS), 1990–2010

The US is already the most highly vaccinated nation on the planet, with the highest autism rates, and the highest infant mortality rates among developed nations.

In their landmark 2013 paper, Canadian scientists Professor Christopher Shaw and Dr. Lucija Tomljenovic show that the more children receive vaccines with aluminum adjuvants, the greater their chance is of developing autism, autoimmune diseases and neurological problems later in life. A demonstrated neurotoxin, aluminum is the only approved adjuvant in the US. Its use presents the risk of brain inflammation, autoimmunity and other adverse health consequences.

          http://www.fhfn.org/new-study-reveals-children-being-vaccinated-with-toxic-levels-of-aluminum-causing-neurological-damage-and-autism

          • dale ruff

Correlation is not causation. Another correlation with increased autism is

            1. Increased reporting

            2. Increased ingestion of GMO foods full of bt and glyphosate

I agree that studies should be conducted to produce safe vaccines and that corporations often use toxic preservatives to increase shelf life and profit. This is not an argument against vaccination but corporate greed.

High mortality rates are correlated with poverty, and the US, as well as having the highest mortality rate among advanced nations, also has the highest degree of childhood poverty.

I support more research, by independent researchers, to sort out these issues, from GMO toxicity to the causes of high mortality rates. Assuming that more vaccines is the cause, with other factors as possible causes

(pollution, toxic food, poverty) is not a valid conclusion.

Aluminum (and mercury) are not used in the live, viral vaccines, such as measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, or rotavirus.

I appreciate your research based approach. My criticism was not of valid peer-reviewed research but taking the “research” of a former sales rep as having scientific validity. I advocate more research, skepticism towards Big Pharma, and safe vaccines.

          • Veri Tas

Both mercury and aluminium and individually strong neurotoxins; they potentiate each other as neurotoxins when administered together via various vaccines. There is vast independently conducted research showing the neurotoxicity of vaccine ingredients.

    • Veri Tas

“Her own child is safe without vaccinations only because most people have them.”

This assertion is based on belief, not facts.

First, infectious diseases regularly occur in highly vaccinated communities:

Conclusion: “A history of prior vaccination is not always associated with immunity nor with the presence of specific antibodies.”

      http://news.sciencemag.org/health/2014/04/measles-outbreak-traced-fully-vaccinated-patient-first-time

Second, vitamins, not vaccines or drugs, ensure immunity against diseases.

“Severe measles is more likely among poorly nourished young children, especially those with insufficient vitamin A, or whose immune systems have been weakened by HIV/AIDS or other diseases.”

“All children in developing countries diagnosed with measles should receive two doses of vitamin A supplements, given 24 hours apart. This treatment restores low vitamin A levels during measles that occur even in well-nourished children and can help prevent eye damage and blindness. Vitamin A supplements have been shown to reduce the number of deaths from measles by 50%.”

      – World Health Organization http://www.who.int/mediacentre/factsheets/fs286/en/

      And that’s just ONE vitamin.

Cellular immunity requires specific nutrients in adequate amounts; people are not vaccine-deficient.

You’re a vaccine salesman posing as an intellectual blogger and making no progress apart from collecting your shill dollars . .

      • dale ruff

You are a liar and you know it. I am a 74 year old retired teacher living off his teacher’s pension. You, sir, are a libelous liar. I reject the greed and dishonesty of Big Pharma and advocate independent research to develop safe vaccines. You use lies and libel to refute people who challenge your closed mind.

        • nworder

No such thing as a safe vaccine – there never was – it has no rationale – this has been proven . Vaccines cause the diseases they are fraudulently promoted to prevent. You know that but you prefer the $$$$

    • john haggle

We don’t believe you anymore. You being the hive mind that regurgitates the ideas and comments of deception.

      • dale ruff

“We?” You speak for others: are you a paid shill?

Read my post: I reject the greed and dishonsty of the drug industry; I promote independent research; I promote safe vaccines; I reject herd thinking like yours.

    • semper veritas

You are making a big mistake to assume that only people with a degree in the subject matter at hand are the only ones worth listening to. While they may have more initial knowledge on the subject, they are biased and spout the orthodoxy of that field. An intelligent person not so encumbered who does their own research will often do a much better job of discovering the truth. After all the researcher is seeking truth, while the person with the degree assumes he already knows it, and is often very wrong in that assumption.

      • dale ruff

You are making a big mistake by assuming a person with no science background can do competent research in a complicated field involving medicine, chemistry, and statistics. Those with a science background you claim are “biased and spout the orthodoxy of the field.” This is absurd. There are biased scientists but scientists make their careers by taking down orthodoxy, and to assume scientists are more biased than unequalified people is equally absurd.

Without a background in the appropriate science, it would be very rare for a person to be able to do peer-reviewed research. Your assumptions about those who are educated has no support in either logic or evidence. You are making excuses by spouting unwarranted generalizations that imply a person with no background in science would make a better researcher than someone who devoted his life. Simply absurd. Challenges to scientific orthodoxy are done by other scientists. Can you give a list corrections of scientific orthodoxy by amateurs? There are a few: extremely rare.

I judge your commentary a pathetic excuse to defend a research which is not in evidence by a former salesperson with no peer review. It rates as opinion, but it has status as science.

        • nworder

Scientific orthodoxy is directly proportional to $$$$$$$$ CASH – FILTHY LUCRE .
And the idiocy of Ruff’s comments is directly proportional to his pharma shilling fees.

Pharma gangsters peer review isn’t worth a pile of cow dung thats why america is the worlds most unhealthiest nation – vaccines and drugs galore .

        • semper veritas

You are pretty far gone, so I doubt there is anything that can be said to you. All I can say is that I wish there were NO adverse effects from vaccines, but IF they have to occur, I would hope they would happen to someone like you who blindly supports them.

      • nworder

Scientists know more and more about less and less .

  • newsens

I suppose there must be some problems arising from vaccines because there’s so much griping about them.

Yes, there are heavy metals eg aluminium, mercury, in vaccines but in minute, non-toxic doses.

There’s hardly a profit in vaccines, they are about the cheapest of all “drugs”

The “gripers” don’t seem to realize that the alternative to vaccination, namely antibiotics, is no longer effective and they put themselves, their kids and the community at large at serious risk by refusing to be vaccinated.

In fact, by not vaccinating they are playing right into the hands of Big Pharma which then, when there’s a crisis, has the chance to sell really expensive stuff.

    • nworder

There IS profit in vaccines or there would be none. How idiotic can your comment get – as if these evil companies dont make a profit – how can the unjabbed be a risk to the jabbed if the vaccines work – this doubles up your pure BS

    • john haggle

We the Hundreds of Millions, no longer believe you the millions. You have deceived Us so many times in the past that your deceptions no longer change our minds. Every year We grow in ability to Perceive the falsehoods that we once would have accepted. When with a being addicted to deceiving, the only recourse is to not believe ANYTHING they say. Even your arguments are changing in the effort to TRY to deceive us. Now it’s an admission that heavy metals are in vaccines BUT they are “in minute, non-toxic doses,” So the deception effort continues. But we don’t care what you say anymore. We just don’t believe anything you say. We who are the Hundreds of Million will become the Billions while you who are a few millions will become thousands, hundreds, and then no more, as we will no longer produce and serve your existence.

  • emmanuelozon

One only has to look at just who is recommending all these vaccinations. Oh! It’s the government! The very same government that’s been lying to me for the past 65 years.

Ever have the mumps? My three brothers did. Oh my! They looked like chipmunks for 4 days. How terrible. Of course, now they’re immune. My half brother had whooping cough and it too, was terrible. He coughed his head off for 3 days. Of course, now he’s immune.

  • Invierno

Wow oh wow! This one has brought out the cream of the trollish pie.
“1. “Yes, there are heavy metals eg aluminium, mercury, in vaccines but in minute, non-toxic doses.”
    2. So, by this dip-wad’s logic, a ‘little bit’ of aluminium and mercury is ‘okay’. Okaaaaay then! Have at it…save some for your kids! Oh…no mention of thimerosal, a proven nuero-toxin.

    3. “There’s hardly a profit in vaccines, they are about the cheapest of all “drugs”

    4. There is a boatload of profit in vaccines when the billions are sold. If there were ‘hardly a profit’, then why

would Big Pharma spend many, many, many millions of dollars in advertising, lobbyists, purchasing votes in congress, etc. etc.

    5. “their kids and the community at large at serious risk by refusing to be vaccinated.”
    6. Same old song and dance. “Where’s my auto response cards….community at large is here somewhere…”

    7. “In fact, by not vaccinating they are playing right into the hands of Big Pharma”
    8. Yes….this is just what Big Pharma wants..DON’T vaccinate….it’s really their secret agenda. Such a rebuttal is
    insulting to read.

    9. “Brandy Vaughn has no degrees in science and no peer-reviewed research. She was a sales rep, the kind of attractive woman hired to have lunch with doctors…..”
    10. Fallacious argument. By Dale’s ‘logic’, a front counter person at a bakery has no idea how doughnuts are made.

There are more rebuttals to be made, but time won’t allow; ‘quality time’, anyway.

    • john haggle

      Great comment! Keep it up!

    • dale ruff

In nations without vaccinations, hundreds of thousands die. That trumps every lie you have stated. Your equation of selling drugs with expertise in research on drugs is funny! ” By Dale’s ‘logic’, a front counter person at a bakery has no idea how doughnuts are made.”

By my logic, to do peer-reviewed research, you need a background in the appropriate science. Donuts are not science, but by your logic, both are equally mastered. Very funny!

Pointing out the job of Brandy Vaughn was an indictment of drug corporations which hire attractive women to peddle drugs to doctors. It also suggests she does not have the background to do scientific research, unless selling drugs is a qualification for research on drugs.

Thanks for the chuckles. I remain a critic of the drug industry, promoter of independent research by qualified people, and safe vaccines. I challenge anyone who criticizes vaccination to check out the death toll from common diseases in areas without vaccinations.

      • dan

Sorry but these areas also lack running water, soap, and toilet paper these things and following basic hygiene is why we have less virulent outbreaks of disease. As a child we got 3 to 4 vaccines and viola we all lived. Don’t believe all of these vaccines are not causing damage to our children.

      • nworder

America’s children have the most vaccines by far and america has the highest infant death rate of around 40 – 50 developed nations – directly
proportional on a graph to the number of vaccines.

You cant distinguish a pharma executive gangster from the good scientists
who have proved vaccines dont work – you dont know good from evil.

  • nworder

Dale does not get paid to research or think even – he gets paid for pharma BS.

  • Richard Wahd

Nice try – not too sore on the eyes but I’m still not convinced… Next time get Heidi Klum or Cindy Crawford. Oh, even better yet, get Jenny McCarthy to fully retract her previous statements.
