Primer: What is the Smart Grid?

Most people are now familiar with many of the smart devices and gadgets that they have purchased. But still not enough are aware of how these devices integrate into a larger plan for an overarching smart grid of energy and personal surveillance.

The smart grid initiative is one that is largely being introduced by force – either by direct property intrusion, or through economic penalties for those who wish to opt out.
