Supreme Court Will Authorize FEMA/Internment Camps Again

Antonin Scalia, Associate Justice of the Supreme Court, made a rather staggering remark today. He stated the Supreme Court will someday allow internment camps to open again.

Justice Antonin Scalia predicted today that the Supreme Court will once again allow for the use of internment/FEMA camps to be used in America, as they were in World War II. During WWII, Japanese Americans were labeled enemies, and many thousands were place in what we’d refer to today, as FEMA Camps.

“You are kidding yourself if you think the same thing will not happen again,” Scalia told the University of Hawaii law school while discussing Korematsu v. United States, the ruling in which the court gave its imprimatur to the internment camps.

The local Associated Press report quotes Scalia as using a Latin phrase that means “in times of war, the laws fall silent,” to explain why the court erred in that decision and will do so again.

“That’s what was going on — the panic about the war and the invasion of the Pacific and whatnot,” Scalia said. “That’s what happens. It was wrong, but I would not be surprised to see it happen again, in time of war. It’s no justification but it is the reality.”

Justice Scalia seems to be mistaken, as his job as a Supreme Court Justice is supposed to be to make sure the Executive, and Legislative Branches are in line with the Constitution. What he was doing here is basically opening the door, and unofficially telling the already abusive government that the Supreme Court will not over-rule any Executive decisions to open up the (at least 6) camps that exist today, and are ready to house any “enemy combatants,” under the NDAA.
