Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel Urges House to “Act on Syria”

The military-industrial complex’s very own news channel, The Pentagon Channel, is 100% aboard the ‘Bomb Syria’ bandwagon. According to the logic of Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel, the use of chemical weapons is “unacceptable” and risks eroding the nearly century-old norm against the use of such weapons. A norm which, in his words, “has helped protect United States forces, and our Homeland”.

So according to him, it has been totally unacceptable for anybody else to use chemical weapons to wage war for nearly a century, yet the United States is directly responsible for causing countless horrific and slow-death fatalities through the use of the chemical incendiary weapon Napalm in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. Along with the use of Agent Orange during the Vietnam War and depleted uranium (DU) weaponry in the Gulf War, the hypocrisy of the United States government knows no bounds.
