Yawwwn!Hey, here's an idea. Since this site runs about 40 Ron Paul promo articles each month.......and also runs about 40 GMO food articles each month, why not combine the two topics? We could learn all about how Ron Paul and his son Rand work to protect people from Monsanto and other big agri business criminals. Stuff like this.http://www.infowars.com/rand-paul-votes-no-on-gmo-labeling/Chirping about coins and banks is easy. Votes count. Rand voted for corporate criminals and rejected we the people. Then Ron defended him, numerous times. Talk is cheap, votes cost money.
Rand probably voted no on GMO labeling because it infringes on the rights of the business owners. I am pretty sure both Rand and Ron support personal liberty and responsibility. The food doesn't need to be labeled to know there are GMOs in it. I am all for labeling food if it contains GMOs, but I also do my own research and know that apples, salmon, tomatoes, potatoes, corn, soy, etc. are GMO products. Thus, I buy local, direct from my farmers, fish mongers, ranchers, soap makers, etc. You don't need a label to tell you something is bad for you. It is pretty much common sense. If the food you eat is a modern convenience food (not something your great grandparents would have eaten), then it probably contains some sort of preservative, pesticide, anti-microbial, GMO, etc. Buy local and fresh, preserve your own foods using traditional methods. Don't trust big business with your health.
"I also do my own research and know that apples, salmon, tomatoes, potatoes, corn, soy, etc. are GMO products." A mindnumbingly stupid and simplistic assessment. Organic apples, tomatoes, and salmon are NOT GMO poison. Most soy is, most corn too.A GMO species of salmon is being researched and tested and may be sold as farmed GMO salmon. But for now most salmon is natural. The use of GMO in foods is complex and not easy to follow..........hence the need for labeling. But for a brain dead follower of the scam artist and fraud Ron Paul, simple concepts are the only way to go, even if you are dead wrong. You people are putty in the hands of our fascist rulers. Truly sad.
Not at all. Your comments are offensive and stupid, not his. He says "Buy Local and Fresh", ie know who's produced and grown the food. Your idea is "Believe The Label", which is a whole lot more naive and brain dead, to use your phrase.
Often, local means GMO, sprayed with pesticides and irradiated. Local is only good if it is organic, and the local push is more about not supporting the use of gas and oil ship food all over the place. Nice try. And if you read slowly, you might see that I quoted the part of his comment I took exception with. The local and fresh sentiment is nice, but does not solve the GMO problem or the dirty tactics of Monsanto and its bought and paid for greasy political hacks (ie. Rand Paul) and their efforts to hide the truth about what is in our food.My idea is to have honest truthful informative labels, not the crap you falsely accuse me of saying. Quotation marks are for quotes fool. But hey, if you stuck to the facts you wouldn't have much of a point would you?Ron Paul zealots sure are easily offended, and so are the sites that shamelessly hype him.
"But hey, if you stuck to the facts you wouldn't have much of a point would you?Ron Paul zealots sure are easily offended, and so are the sites that shamelessly hype him."I'll ... type ... slowly ... so ... you ... can ... understand. Yeah, websites are easily offended. They're people, just like corporations, right?I recognize your style of personal attacks and name-calling, even though you hide your identity.
Not one word about facts, content or Ron Paul and his son's sellout to diabolical Monsanto. Just some violin music and a whine about ad hominems. It is the internet, djohnston, we are all hidden from each other, only the CIA and associated spooks know who we are. The truth counts, nothing else. The truth about the Paul family is that they prey on the people's desire for real change, while they serve the same corporate masters as other Senators and Congress scum.
