Why Everyone Benefits From Marijuana Legalization

Dan Savage investigates the recent pot legalization in Washington and Colorado and how it has already dismissed over 220 misdemeanor cases. He also gives a brief history of the inequality caused by marijuana prohibition.

We all know that someday, soon, this prohibition will end.

I spent 5 years in Federal Prison for a marijuana offense.

The memorable day that I met with the parole panel, I asked, "When pot becomes legal, what will my 5 years spent in prison have meant?"

Their response, "That is a very philosophical question. We don't deal with philosophy in this office."

Case closed...go back to your cell.

When the 5 years were gone, I walked out and never looked back. But, I know to this day, there are thousands of Americans still rotting in jail over a plant.

I wrote about the escapades that led to my book:
Shoulda Robbed a Bank

I would be honored by your review,
Hugh Yonn

True true true. This is one of those things people are slowly coming around to, they're realizing how stupid we've been to illegalize it and continue the war on drugs which has destroyed millions of lives.

When weed is completely legalized (probably only going to happen following the collapse of the federal government), the prison industrial complex will take a nose dive. Prison is a business, and the existence of some form of "contraband" is needed for its continued survival. The ease of marijuana production has made it the most profitable "illegal substance" for the prison industry.

Good God. Forget the drug thing for a minute.

Dan Savage? Really? Couldn't get anyone more credible? Like someone who doesn't host a sex column advocating things like coprophilia, boys having sex with men plus all sorts of S&M stuff that lands gay men in the hospital, someone who didn't write a book on how he and his partner "got pregnant" and had a threesome with another guy whilst his son was in the next room, someone who's not part of the media & society's mass deception on the glbt lobby, someone who doesn't lie to youth about being born gay, not being able to change whilst he hands them porn material telling them about gay sex clubs, someone who wasn't involved in this:

I support proper full rights for glbts etc, & I'm not religious so I don't care which religion is offended; I know religion is partly responsible for these people's problems and withholding the truth, but the glbt lobby is bad news.

Savage is bad news; no need to promote him and his destructive agenda. I can get facts on pot elsewhere.
