DHS grants fund surveillance equipment on public buses

As reported by Wired, "Transit authorities in cities across the country are quietly installing microphone-enabled surveillance systems on public buses that would give them the ability to record and store private conversations, according to documents obtained by a news outlet."

It does not seem such a great decision.Earlier it was said that GPS devices are being installed on all vehicles.If it is due to the growing incidents of terrorism then it seems a good move.
