Hemp Can Save America and the World!

The good news is we’ve found a plant that can save the world. The bad news is…it’s illegal!

What if a plant could save the economy, end the oil wars, restore the environment, improve everyone’s heath, provide nutritious foods as well as safer cars, healthier homes, better clothes, and more paper of higher-quality while protecting our forests? Would you agree it’s a super plant that America desperately needs?

Hemp is that plant. While the federal government bans the growth of industrial and medical hemp, marijuana reform is sweeping the states with over 80% of the country having reduced penalties for cannabis. The recent New York Times article “The Fight Over Medical Marijuana” documented the tragedies caused by this conflict. A medical hemp grower in Montana who was in compliance with state laws was arrested by federal agents and faces life in jail.

As Feds Crack Down on Medical Pot, Groundbreaking Lawsuit Fights Back” shows the many legal aspects of this states’ rights battle. The film Code of the West addresses this issue by asking “Who gets to write the codes we live by?” California Gov. Jerry Brown reminded Obama recently, "It's time for the Justice Department to recognize the sovereignty of the states . . . We are capable of self government."

R.I.P: Marijuana Prohibition” points out that the game just changed: “The citizens of Colorado, Washington and Massachusetts delivered game changing victories for the nearly fifty year-old cannabis law reform Movement . . . the die for major cannabis law reforms is now cast.”

In 2008, Obama promised to respect state hemp laws. Now’s the time to make good on that promise. In addition, Obama’s support for legalization of industrial and medical hemp would bring immediate Hope and Change -- and would reward Americans for still believing in him enough to give him 4 more years.

End the War on Drugs

Our Founding Fathers required farmers to grow hemp because it is so beneficial. Henry Ford created a hemp car powered by hemp ethanol. Canada’s hemp car, the “Kestrel”, will debut in 2013. Because of misguided policies, the US banned hemp in 1937. It’s time now for America to recognize industrial and medical hemp as national treasures.

New Poll: 81 Percent Of Americans Support Legalizing Medical Marijuana” shows strong support for hemp as calls to end the War on Drugs escalate. Former President Jimmy Carter’s NY Times OpEd said: “Call Off the Global Drug War”. Richard Branson of Virgin Atlantic and former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan made similar appeals. Ralph Nader pleaded, “Let Our Farmers Grow Hemp”.

Law Enforcement Against Prohibition (LEAP), an international organization comprised of criminal justice professionals, called for an end to the War on Drugs. The Executive VP of LEAP describes the War on Drugs as “Public Enemy #1”.

America has dropped out of the top 10 most prosperous countries -- now in 12th place, down from 6th in 2008. The US is the only industrialized country with no hemp industry. We cannot afford to ignore hemp, the trillion-dollar crop! In his opposition to legalization of industrial and medical hemp, Obama is out of line with our best interests, American history, and the will of the American people.

Author and futurist Barbara Marx Hubbard said, "Without vision, the people perish...with vision we flourish". The secession petitions filed in November by all 50 states show that the country is falling apart for lack of a positive vision. It is urgent for Obama to announce an initiative that can inspire and save America! Legalization of industrial and medical hemp would unite the nation in a venture as visionary as the Peace Corps and would allow America to thrive!

Industrial Hemp: Trillion-Dollar Crop

Jack Herer, co-author of the ground-breaking book The Emperor Wears No Clothes: The Authoritative Historical Record of Cannabis and the Conspiracy Against Marijuana said, “I don’t know if hemp’s gonna save the world, but I’ll tell you this… it’s the only thing that can”.

Hemp - Could Save America” echoes that view. Legalization of industrial and medical hemp could be the Tipping Point that allows us to avoid the escalating financial, environmental, healthcare, and food crises, as well as the bankrupting wars. It could shift the country to a sustainable paradigm.

Some of the benefits of industrial hemp (Cannabis sativa) are:
  • Cars – 10 times stronger and 3 times lighter than steel, biodegradable!
  • Biofuel – replaces oil, saves environment, ends oil wars
  • End Fracking of Our Water – hemp fuel would make coal unnecessary
  • Plastics – replaces 6,000 products made from petroleum, saves land fills
  • Homes – more energy-efficient, negative footprint, longer-lasting
  • Clothes – more comfortable, warmer in winter, cooler in summer, durable
  • Paper – 4x as much pulp as from trees, better quality paper, protects forests
  • Foods/Drinks – mega-nutrition, superfood
  • Free of Toxins -- does not need herbicides, fungicides, or pesticides
  • Radiation Repair – reverses nuclear contamination of soil

Medical Hemp: Panacea

Medical hemp (Cannabis indica, aka “marijuana”) has been used in the treatment of over 100 diseases and ailments. However, the most revolutionary news is the discovery by Canadian Rick Simpson that the oil from the buds of the hemp plant is a cure all! He used the oil to treat 5,000 people – curing many “terminal” illnesses.

Simpson’s story is documented in the film Run From the Cure which can be found on his website at: His new book PhoenixTears: The Rick Simpson Story covers the phenomenal rise of one of the most important movements in human history. In the amazing July 2012 interview “Max Igan Talks To Rick Simpson – Hemp As A Cancer Cure”, Simpson discusses the urgent need for countries to legalize medical hemp.

World Hemp Congress 2012

Max Igan’s speech at the World Hemp Congress 2012 provides an overview of the importance of hemp, the reasons it was banned, and why it should be legalized. He says change must be mandated by the people:
If we fail to act, we are through our own negligence risking life itself. [Hemp] provides mankind with one of the greatest opportunities for effective change we’ve have ever been presented with.
Hemp Bills in Congress

The following bills are pending in Congress. If not passed, similar bills will need to be introduced in early 2013:
  • H.R. 1831: Industrial Hemp Farming Act” to legalize industrial hemp.
  • HR 2306: Ending Federal Marijuana Prohibition Act of 2011”.
  • S. 3501: Industrial Hemp Farming Act of 2012”, a companion to H.R. 1831.
  • An amendment to the “Agriculture Reform, Food and Jobs Act of 2012” to legalize production of industrial hemp.

Don't you get it? Obama, the US government, the banks, don't want anything benaficial for America. That would be direct competition on favoured businesses. That and the outlawing of marijuana increases the price and the money supply for banks, (money laundering) black budgets for the alphabet agencies.
And don't forget the benafits of keeping the American people down. That way they can't fight back!

Funny because hemp is not marijuana. Same plant family, but not the same plant. Kind of like raspberries and blackberries. Both brambles but completely different plants.

Anyway, henry Ford developed a CAR out of hemp fibers back in the 30's or 40's. Half the weight of steel and 10 times as strong. All swept under the rug of PROFIT.

Every seed bearing herb has been given to everyone on the earth, by the creator, but as accidental apes we have surrendered our birthrights to the serpent and his seed.

The creator spoke to OUR generation, over 2,000 years ago,"the very hairs of your head are all numbered" knowing the invisible would become visible as we return
to "as it was in the days of Noah," crossing the species barrier, on our way to godhood.

Regarding the above comment that compares "raspberries to blackberries" ...

A better perspective is that cannabis is one species, and the different kinds of plants are like different races of that one species.

That is, different kinds of cannabis plants are strongly analogous, and isomorphic to the differences between different races of human beings.

A primary purpose of the resins on the flowers was to protect the immature seeds from too much Ultra Violet light. The highest concentrations of the chemicals like the THC are on the bracs, that wrap the immature seeds, when they are developing. THC is like melanin in the skin and hair of human beings. They act as natural sun screens. Pot plants have a genetic ability to become "suntanned." Those races of plants that evolved in the low latitude, high altitude regions of the world evolved to make lots of resin on their flowers, containing THC, etc.. Those plants which evolved in higher latitudes, and lower altitudes did that a lot less.

Therefore, the different pot plants are like the different ranges of coloured people, from relatively black, through browns, reds and yellows, to the relatively white.

Cannabis is one species, like human beings are one species. The scientific names for different species, were mistakes, since all of those plants can interbreed, they are ALL ONE SPECIES!

The best medical marijuana and recreational marijuana are the same substances.

Medical marijuana is "black pot" that is O.K. because it comes wrapped in a white lab coat.

Industrial hemp is required by law to be "albino pot."

Also, another common misunderstanding is that the resin is for the sake of pollination. That is wrong. The flowering is correlated with the development of the resin to protect the seeds. However, the pollination can occur just the same in the albino pot strains.

A century of propaganda has disseminated wide-spread LIES about this plant, even more so that the physical attempts to destroy that plant. The basic language, and most of the concepts we use, are almost all WRONG!

Cannabis culture was forced to become a slave society, and it has adapted to take pride in many of the stupid things which it was forced to do to survive!

Pot prohibition is merely the single simplest symbol, and the most extreme example of that general pattern of social facts.

FOLLOW THE MONEY TO THE SOURCE. That is the way to understand how and why the best plant on the planet for people, for food, fiber, fun and medicine was asserted to be "almost as bad as murder."

THE WHOLE SOCIAL SYSTEM IS BASED ON LEGALIZED LIES, BACKED BY LEGALIZED VIOLENCE. Marijuana laws were only the greatest particular manifestation of that happening everywhere else!

The tunnels of deceits are practically infinite, and there are level after level of alternative radical truths.

i find it interesting that WA and CO although having passed laws legaling hemp, claim that it will be taxed alongside marijuana like tobacco and alcohol... HEMP is not a drug to be taxed like one. it should be "taxed" like any other foodstuff, not at all!!!! if left to it's own defenses, it will put corn soy out of business for oils and high protien feed for animals and people. And if taxed like cotton (don't know if it is" it will also surpass cotton growing for textiles as well as lessen deforestation bc it is one of the most fiberous plants in the world and surpasses the strangth of most wood....

DON'T tax it!!!! tax marijuana if you need to, but DONOT TAX HEMP. tax the end product if you have to (oil, plywood, fabric etc) but not the raw product or the farmer growing it it can save this nation from all sorts of woes and still bring in revenue in the form of profit and uses, not taxes.

Phil, you got it right....anything that evolved along with the rest of the earth CANNOT be simply outlawed unless by the laws of nature... if natural selection hasn't done away with this plant by now, who are humans to say it needs to go... we will get ours one way or another... don't take the rest of evolution with us....

Hemp was an American cash crop and was used as cash (currency) before and after the American Revolution. THAT is the central reason it was demonized and outlawed. Banksters (self appointed gods) forbid that the sorcery of debt-money creation should be usurped by something real (actually valuable), replicates at a geometric rate, and can be accomplished (grown) by the masses instead of the "chosen" few. Power over others isn't natural. Power protects itself.

All posters are on the nail head. Enough is known already about the criminal, rapacious tribal kabal restraining industrial Hemp, for the sole purpose of exploiting their ill gained ownership of most other natural resources, without having worked a single day in their parasitic lives, and buying everything outright by means of implanting (at gun point) their worthless (and UN-Constitutional) colored toilet paper, aka, 'Fed' 'Reserve' Notes.

If George Washington grew Hemp, why not US? Because a rapine rat must negate Americans their gate to economical freedom, which in turn will obsolete the usurping econo-industrial power from these klannish mongrels of the species. But that it will happen, it WILL.

Imagine just about every backyard in America growing Hemp for 'sport'; collecting a profit twice a year; enriching the soil, air, and water supplies (no Petro-Chemical poisoning); feeding on a most natural resource (the Plant of the Gods), instead of chemical garbage force-feed on the sheeple by these same mongrels who run the 'food' chain supply; less digging for mineral resources for industry... mountain blasting for concrete, when inexpensive and clean Hempcrete can do the job at dirt cheap prices; wood, Formica, plastics, fiberboard; clothes, shoes, hats, belts, leather; car oil, car fuel, industrial chemicals and mats; flour, ice cream, milk, bread, skin oil, pet food. Am short, but that's good for starters.

I WILL GROW HEMP, and benefit from it. And I will see these rapine hucksters begging under a bridge at a time when Welfare will be eliminated from our system, because we won't have ANY poor and hungry; only these rats, who would rather STARVE, than WORK an hour for feed. So Be It!
