Smile or Die

Ain't it the truth! The smiley, always positive but often wrong employee seems to advance faster than the one who points out errors hoping to prevent future problems.

I once worked on a project that was fraught with errors but was declared completed within the deadline to avoid political backlash for the project manager. The thinking(?) behind the declaration was that any problems would then be transferred to a maintenance team! The positive thinking project manager was subsequently lauded and promoted with a salary increase!

Think of how much of one's world is illusion, and how much delusion is necessary to maintain that world!
