'Top Cyber Cop' Says Internet Way Overdue For Attack

Activist Post

Shawn Henry, 24-year veteran of the FBI's cyber security division, stated that he is surprised a massive cyber attack hasn't happened yet, and feels it is "very very likely" that one is due to happen in the near term.

In the CBS interview, Henry claims state-sponsored actors like China and Russia are already infiltrating and causing damage to networks, yet he provides no proof of this.

To date, all suspected attacks have been proven to be false alarms despite the media hype. Furthermore, it is the U.S. and Israel who are among the leaders in the rapid evolution of the offensive cyberwar arms race.

This coincides with the ramp-up of cybersecurity legislation. Coincidentally, it is Lieberman who is interviewed for the video below. Lieberman has been at the forefront of proposed cyber tyranny, and alludes to a potential cyber 9/11 when he says that would-be cyber terrorists can "do as much or more damage than the terrorists did on 9/11 by knocking out our power grid for weeks, by incapacitating all of our banks."

Besides having absolutely no proof of anyone having this capacity with the exception of Israel and the U.S. who have proven themselves to be the leading state-sponsored cyber threats, backers of cyber security legislation have gotten caught using bogus figures in an attempt to bolster their case.

Thankfully, the Senate successfully filibustered the bill yesterday. But that may be all the more reason to stage a cyber 9/11.  After all, the U.S. and Israel are the only ones provably capable of such an attack, even though most critical U.S. infrastructure is not even connected via the Web and, therefore, not even vulnerable to a large scale attack...unless it was a coordinated inside job.

Much as we saw with 9/11, and more recently in the Batman shooter case, anti-freedom legislation like gun control is always there on the shelf to be brought into reality under the "right" circumstances. The right circumstances for those who seek full-spectrum Internet control means that we should be on guard against a false flag to justify its implementation.

At the end of the video, Henry states that "time is short" and businesses oppose government regulation, so Lieberman might not have the political will to get the legislation passed.  What's the next logical step if you seek more control against the people's will?

Be vigilant, be aware, and be prepared -- something is in the air.

Overdue = They can't keep their pants on and still aint figured out exactly how something so difficult to attack can be attacked without attacking it themselves and they JUST CAN'T WAIT!

Perhaps we should put these pricks into one great big champaign bottle, and let them all talk shit to each other, until, like yeast, they all suffocate in their own excrement and expire.

When the government takes the internet down, they will blame it on cyberhackers from a country designated as the "enemy".

So sad that a Jew (Lieberman) would turn into the very evil that persecuted "his" people.

Regarding Liebermann (German spelling mine) and becoming the evil that persecuted "his people"-- there is no better example than George Soros, who gleefully helped the Nazis track down other Jews and participated in the confiscation of their wealth on behalf of Das Vaterland. Big financial supporter of Obama BTW.

In the end, it is all about control for the sake of "public safety". Let your imagination run wild on this one. Hackers infiltrate the software operating a nuclear power plant and send it into a meltdown. Or they mess up traffic light sequencing all over every major metro area nation-wide. Thousands die in red light accidents. Multiply the event out over a nation of 300 million people and you can see how the security issue almost demands government intervention for the sake of public safety.

You'll find scammers both in the government or in the private sector. The government is adept at using the Privacy Act under Title 5 United States Code to prevent you from finding out whether that new hire is a problem. Then the new hire learns the ropes in your company, files false allegations against your firm with the responsible licensing agency, but you can't "face your accuser" (per the Bill of Rights) because of... (you guessed it-) the Privacy Act and the Whistleblower statutes. You go through the government-sanctioned inquest, try diligently to show you were never out of line.

Then the secret whistleblower walks off the job, claiming you fired them as a "reprisal". Then the State Attorney General's Reprisal Firing Claim Office puts you through it all over again, while the scammer claims you under paid them on overtime. All of it a big lie. And the whole time, the government protects the "privacy" of the liars while you swing in the wind.

Think Obama Care is a good idea? It is nothing less than another pathway to scam the employer and destroy our country. And you can bet your bottom dollar that internet "cybersecurity" is designed to protect the liars of society and government (read: Operation Fast & Furious) so you can never find the paper trail that proves that they are rotten to the core.

This looks like a bureaucrat trying to justify his job but the problem is he is FBI so that means we have to be hyper-aware for any false flags now. And how does a traitor to the American people like Senator Joe Lieberman keep getting elected? Are his constituents that stupid?

Gosh and by golly, the whole point of even having the Internet was that it was specifically created to be attack-proof, it was created enable continuing communications despite a major event of any type. Plus, critical US infrastructure is NOT attached to the Internet, anyway.

What a dingbat! Dang bureaucrats! Get out of our way!

Watch your online bank accounts! The FBI/CIA/NSA/DHS knows it will get plenty of sympathy when a large group of people get their accounts compromised and lose large sums, and I am pretty sure they will manage to ensure this happens whether "criminals" do it or not. They will hit people in the pocket to garner support, mark my word. They will also be going after the power grids soon, so beware of that. Hopefully they make the vital error necessary to be busted.
