Last month, President Obama placed more stringent sanctions on Iran’s oil sales and financial transactions. And in the next breath, he claimed that because Iran is supposedly developing a nuclear weapon, Obama will “once again reaffirm [the US government’s] commitment to hold the Iranian government accountable for its actions.”
While Israel is threatening to attack Iran pre-emptively to “knock out” nuclear facilities, Benjamin Netanyahu, Israeli Prime Minister asserts that “all the sanctions and diplomacy so far have not set back the Iranian (nuclear) program by one iota And that’s why I believe that we need a strong and credible military threat coupled with the sanctions to have a chance to change that situation.”
Sanctions placed against Iran are directed at their economy and value of their currency because Iran has been using gold instead of the US dollar to trade with other nations for their oil.
Obama’s latest round of sanctions, by executive order, is aimed at preventing “payment mechanisms for the purchase of Iranian oil to circumvent existing sanctions.” By targeting specific banks, Bank of Kunlun of China and Elaf Islamic Bank of Iraq, Obama wants to make sure “transactions worth millions of dollars on behalf of Iranian banks that are subject to sanctions for their links to Iran’s illicit proliferation activities.”
Obama warned that the US will “expose any financial institution, no matter where they are located, that allows the increasingly desperate Iranian regime to retain access to the international financial system.”
Working for the banking Elite, Obama has made his position clear. He is using the might of the US military to stop Iran from further devaluation of the US dollar; and now threatening all other financial institutions and nations that deal with Iran or facilitate payment in any currency other than the US dollar.
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran’s Supreme Leader, believes that US will declare “war within weeks”. Khamenei said: “While retaliation had been exhaustively drilled in regular military exercises in the past year, Khamenei ordered the biggest fortification project in Iran’s history to save its nuclear program from even the mightiest of America’s super-weapons. Rocks are being gathered from afar, piled on key nuclear installations, covered with many tons of poured concrete and finally plated with steel.”
Iran’s plan to close the Strait of Hormuz is a strategic response to the US by cutting off 33% of the world’s shipments of oil. It was met with underwater drones that targeted the blockade. As well as Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates opening pipelines to bypass the Strait in efforts to increase oil that is moved out of the region.
Last month, reports of war games began surfacing. The Israeli Air Force is practicing aerial combat maneuvers with the US, NATO and European armed forces. They are collaborating on potential strike zones; mainly focusing on Iran’s nuclear facilities.
Joe Biden, US vice-president confirmed that the US would not “stand in the way” of Israel’s attack on Iran. “The US cannot dictate to another sovereign nation what they can and cannot do. Israel can determine for itself – it’s a sovereign nation – what’s in their interest and what they decide to do relative to Iran and anyone else.”
Ephraim Halevy, former Israeli spy, warns that Iran should take Israel seriously – that they have every intention of striking and that the “next 12 weeks are very critical”.
Netanyahu, fearing that the newly elected president will not want to have a winter war, wants to attack before the elections season begins in the US.
In globalist speak this is just rhetoric, as the plan to invade Iran centers around the global reserve currency and not nuclear facilities. Whether or not Obama is re-elected is irrelevant if the US dollar is further compromised by the actions of nations using gold as currency.

Since when is Iran not a sovereign country? Israel and Iran are both sovereign countries but is Israel supposed to be MORE equal? Good god! America has become Animal Farm.
How in heaven's name do American politicians say things like this with a straight face?
I HAVE FOLLOWING THE WARS IN THE PAST FEW YEARS AND WHY DOES THEY ALL LEAD BACK TO ISRAEL..AND WHY IS AMERICA KISSING THE ASS OF A COUNTRY AND WASTING ALL OUR RESOURCES AND PUTTING OUR SECURITY AT RISK FOR A COUNTRY WHO SAYS THEY WOULD NEVER PUT THEIR COUNTRY AT RISK FOR NO ONE, DOES ANYONE EVEN REALIZE THAT THE PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN IS LIKE THEY ARE RUNNING FOR TOP OFFICE IN ISRAEL THAN THE USA..ISNT WHAT THESE US OFFICIALS DOING AMOUNT TO TREASON..WHY ARE WE BLIND TO THIS HIJACKING OF THE US GOVERNMENT BY AGENTS OF A FORIEGN COUNTRY
So what are the alternatives being presented? If the reserve currency changes to something other than the USD. Americans get the shaft big time. If Obama is successful at maintaining the status quo and the USD then Americans get the shaft but qualitatively to a lesser degree. Then the Iranians get the shaft big time. Who is gonna have to take a bigger bite of the sh it sandwich being served up? My vote is that the Iranians get the larger portion of the sh-it pie. Who can defeat the beast? No one, and Jesus has been gone for 2000 years, takes a leap of faith to buy into that BS. Time and time again it has been demonstrated that might makes right. That's how the USD became the reserve currency because the US and her allies won the WARS, and everyone of you who have spent that fiat for your own benefit has been pimpin America and getting pimped. Irrespective of who owns America we have all benefited from HER. To borrow from the language of the Bible; by spending those federal reserve notes you have "drank from the cup of the HER abominations"; You have drank the blood of the saints; since WAR and MURDER are big business. Since we have allowed the usurpation of the domestic economy in 1913 every last one of you hypocrites are culpable. Don't get cold feet now, in for a penny in for a pound. If we are collectively wrong then we should be collectively strong. We should support Obama; support the war; support the American empire; the alternatives to this mess are far worse. For those of you who embrace divine justice; good luck with that. However I will say that the laws of nature are cold. Polar shifts and upheavals of great magnitude do occur from time to time,like the reputed "Day of the Lord" which has nothing to do with some deity and everything to do with the passage of planet X through the inner solar system. That is the real test to determine the fitness of this species. Ironically some of those same liars and thieves that have caused this will probably survive the shift to plunder again. The epitaph of humanity will not be a good one when we finally get our collective comeuppance. We have no one to blame but ourselves.
Would someone please seal these politics in a cave somewhere and let them beat each other up so we can all live in peace?
barry is about to start WWIII. Using gold instead of US dollars (of the banksters) is against them. That can't be allowed so the banksters will DEMAND WAR on Iran, quite possibly nuking them since the dead would just be "collateral damage" and even then, it's just the peasants/slaves.

The source linked with "fearing" is from the NY Times which in no way supports the assertion, and in fact the Times article gives 2 reasons for Obama's response: one is indeed the fear of an attack before the election but also the larger fear of a destabilizing conflageration.
Posel has a habit of quickly throwing together articles (usually 2 a day) and using sources which do not support her claims. This is just one more example, which is too bad since she makes a number of valid points.
Right now, in fact, only Obama stands between Israel and an attack on Iran. This may not last but it must at least be recognized. Obama seeks to be honored as a man who ended wars, not as one who started them. He would like to be able to have deserved the Nobel Peace Prize.
Ugly as his drone attacks and support for attacking Libya, no one else today can restrain Israel...and even Obama may not be able to stall the bloodthirsty hawks in Israel. Please note that military leaders in Israel are also opposing an attack...it is dishonest to imply that everyone in Israel is itching to bomb Iran, just as it is dishonest to ignore that Obama is the only thing (and we do not know for how long) restraining an attack.
The rhetoric and accompanying saber rattling is meant to assure Israel while creating time for alternative solutions. To ignore these facts is to distort the true picture of what is happening.
