THERE ARE PEOPLE NEEDING WORK AND THEY INSTALL ROBOTS! What happens if the robot malfunctions, the program is hacked or terrorists & criminals figure out a way to bypass whatever it is supposed to be guarding or doing?
Robots will work free of charge, don't need to be supported in retirement, don't need restroom and meal breaks,don't get fatigued,can work 24/7, don't need sleep...
IN A WORD, ROBOTS ARE THE PERFECT SLAVES.
OK, now what happens to all the humans whose jobs were displaced by the robots because there are only so many robot repair people needed ...
AND ROBOTS HAVE NO BUYING POWER TO PURCHASE THE THINGS THAT THEY MAKE.
Only we the people can stop this being the future, and as the comments above point out, the loss of jobs to real people, as we all get trained to do as we are told by a holographic robot, no doubt with security cameras watching for these who step out of line.
They are an expandable burden on society. This is not the first time the human race has dealt with this issue. The silent Film "METROPOLIS" made in 1927 delves into exactly what you are talking about.
It will be "a Tale of 2 cities" allover again. The elite and the machines that serve them- and the surplus that will be outside the gates left to the perils of food shortages, class warfare, poweroutages, minimal healthcare, etc.
It will be the best of times and worst of times depending on what side of the fence your on.
Heck many of the Americans are belly aching already and the collapse hasn't even started- Black Friday is bad enough with consumer frenzies- imagine what will happen when the National Debt ceiling can no longer be raised the the US defaults- End of the EBT- It will be Black Friday stampedes on steriods (more like a zombie horde)
Meanwhile on the other side of fence there is contest to see who has the biggest yaht- the newest and biggest one is a 1/2 Billion dollars and measures 1 and 1/2 football fields long plus a full tennis court(Azzam is the name) This is just one persons private yacht!!!!
As a line from a hollywood movie puts it, "You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us" Bye Bye middle class to upperclass - there will only be the elite to watch the surplus all go down for their NWO.
