What could have possibly driven Rand Paul to endorse Romney with his father's blessing? It better have been huge.
Was Rand promised to be Romney's running mate?

This old redneck has been telling every PaulTard that there is a skunk in the works. If Ron could have had enough votes to win, we still would have gotten the austerity that comes. Paulsterity, Obamausterity, Romnsterity... its all the same.
Any vote for ANY R or D is a fool's choice, including Ron Paul.

Ron Paul stood alone or in a tiny minority when he voted against unconstitutional war, advocated an audit of the fed, spoke out against the CIA, et al for many terms ... integrity - tenacity - honor - virtue.

I have seen the same thing before with the New Right vs. the "Rockefeller Republicans" back in the 80's through 2008. We were told that we must "behave" if we were going to get a piece of the pie. Then we were fooled into thinking that neocons were conservatives. In 2008, we were told by the RNC that the era of Reagan conservatism was over.
I left the RNC and advocated for the Tea Party to leave Republicrats in their dust. Neocons usurped some conservatives away from the Tea Party. Now the circle is complete with the greater Liberty movement being betrayed for the same lie; behave if you want a piece of the pie.
I say, keep the Liberty movement growing. 40% of the American electorate now consider themselves independents. I think it's time for a 3rd party anti-globalist movement that independents can rally behind. We must be vigilant to learn from our mistakes and start vetting people accordingly.

Ron Paul voted for the war in Afghanistan, a betrayal of his foreign policy positions. He sold out knowing that voting his conscience would be sacrificing his career. Ron Paul is a deeply corrupted politician, pretending to be pure.
Paul says he is for "no taxes" but he did vote for the Aghan War. Here is his analysis of what taxes are:
"...anytime you spend money, it's a tax. You might tax, you might borrow, you might inflate."'
This war, 100% funded by borrowing, has so far cost over 535 billion (not counting additional future costs and cost of treating wounded vets (for life) and future repayment of the borrowed money). In the end, it will have cost (with %) over a trillion. All borrowed. Approved by Paul. Hypocrite! His followers have been fooled.
So while Paul voted against having billionaires pay at least the same as their secretaries, as a principled result of his "no new taxes" politics, he approved spending so far over half a trillion (bin Laden was gone within months...now our longest war ever)with more to come.

It's all about power, with ideology as the mask.
This, like the war vote itself, is in total contradiction to his announced core values.
When the rubber hits the road, Ron Paul caves in and follows the herd in war and massive spending and borrowing for not only war but pure pork.
His son echoes his father's libertarian philosophy but is ready to make a deal to get power. I think he endorsed Romney to go with the herd, to stay in the power circle.
Both are fakes, who have attracted many naive followers who gloss over contradictions and whose connection is more like a fueher, the adored leader. I think Ron Paul is toast and that his son is very dangerous. Romney wants those lib votes so this endorsement is important. He's now got the racists, the birthers, the anti-abortionists, and now the fake libertarians in his camp. They all hate him but he is their link to power. This is typical Washington corruption.
When I said give me liberty or give me death, I did not mean, make Ron Paul and his snotty nosed brat kid, Rand, President or VP. No, I said Give Me LIBERTY!!! and those are still my choices, Liberty or Death. Ron Paul was the carrier of the message, Rand was just tagging along for the ride. Rand can screw off,, and Ron, well he had everyone hoping he would give us back some freedom. But we can all see now that that is never going to happen. We are being radiated and our country is falling apart. We have no future, Rand took the ticket with the elites to try to save his own ass while the rest of us die. Romney thinks this will pull it out for him. Got news for him, it will not. He is beat. Romney and the Republican Party black balled the RP supporters so come the election it will be pay back. Get ready for another four years of Obama.

I am devastated over this, and I'm not even an American. But I do advise not jump to any conclusions just yet. Time will tell and there's no use in going for each others throaths. We must stand unified. The bigger chance is that if the Pauls are what they've said they are, there just wouldn't be a chance for them to get anywhere in the politics. And had Dr. Paul won the election, he propably wouldn't have survived alive for long. That is if he had tried to deliver his promises. Both Lincoln and Kennedy wanted to abolish the fed - what else is common between the two?

I think Rand is clearly not on the same page as his father Ron Paul..Much like Dubyah was a world away from His fathers philosophies..Frankly I don't think he was promised anything..he's just a parasite like Limbaugh and Beck!
I thought this was the perfect year for a third party to run with Ron P as the presidential candidate. To think this has been nothing but a scam makes me totally sick inside. I am going to give Ron until tomorrow to explain. Where is he anyway? Like all the rest of the liars, cheats and thieves in congress,it was announced on the start of the week end. How cowardly!If Rand betrayed his dad that's bad enough but to think that both scammed us all, is the worst betrayal of all. What about the troops? error in judgement. I was going to write-in Ron if I had to but if he is part of this, I may vote for OB just to show the republicans that it doesnt pay to play as dirty as I have seen them do. They could have been promised anything from Vice president to secretary fo defense if Ron Paul wanted to make in this country he would have not sold out his supporters as he did telling them to support the repubicans or democrats. He would have encouraged them to continue fighting for a better country.

I got an impression of Senator Rand Paul about 2 months ago when I saw him badger the Secretary of Energy Chu at a Congressional hearing. Chu was testifying before a Senate Committee on Energy Dept policy. Rand Paul started in on him about an atomic plant in Paducah, Ky (Rand's state). Apparently, DOE wants to close the plant or scale it back and Rand Paul wants to keep it open and the workers employed. Paul was espousing some arrangement that some people had come up with to keep the plant open; it doesn't surprise me that Rand Paul, the Senator from Ky, wants to keep the plant open in his state. The Secretary said he was studying the proposal, but that wasn't enough for Paul. It bothered me the way he badgered and clearly attempted to publicly intimidate the Nobel prize-winning Sect of Energy. Rand was extremely crude the way he went about it. I thought to myself, Why don't you sit down privately with the Secretary and try to work something out? It seemed to me if I was the Secretary I would rule against Paul just out of spite for being so poorly treated. A poor performance on Paul's part.
