You say I owe what!? oh, uh.. my heart....!!
That is low,but i imagine we have not seen anything yet, they have only just scratched the surface of profound immorality,we seem to be regressing to the time of the victorian era, debtors prisons, workhouses and squalor, soon they will take one of your organs as part payment. There is something seriously wrong with the human being, that he can act with such disregard to the wellbeing of his fellow man,and harry them wilst they are at thier most vulnerable.
Civil society is dead and might makes right. So, buckle your seat belt Dorothy, because the good people in this world are in for a rough ride.
Disturbing as this is, remember also that it is illegal. They are violating several federal laws here. I urge everyone that if they ever see themselves in this situation to take as many info as possible, report them to the FTC and sue their asses! In fact, I believe that there is a mass class action lawsuit right here. Hopefully, a big law firm will jump on this soon and put them all - collectors & hospital - out of business soon.
Yep, sign-o-the-times, people. Remember, if you're ever in that situation, tell them to fuck themselves and give them nothing. As soon as you can, contact a lawyer and sue their asses! Both collectors and hospitals are in violation of federal laws. A good lawyer (oxymoron I know!) can put an end to this practice quite quickly and profitably.
Help! nurse! he gave me a heart attack! get my lawyer!
The debt collector angle isn't the worst of it by far. Scratch the SEC surface and you'll find players like George Schultz and Bronfman. Accretive and Ascension, outsourcing to India, private companies buried in public sucker IPOs and Catholic hospitals partnering with Indian ones to build in the Caymans (and launder profits more efficiently?) - to cater to Americans who can't afford care in Catholic stateside hospitals, partnering with for-profits to "help" "struggling" domestic hospitals... this story is just the tip of the icy berg of why health care is unaffordable.Obama and the unions would have you blame the people in the ER who can't afford care and not the profiteers. But you can't have wages go continually down while wall street profiteering goes continually up. Think of healthcare has being run by the mob and you won't be far off.
