Meanwhile, rebels turn guns on each other turning Tripoli into a war zone, again.

Associated Press recently reported that Libya's rebel militants have named a new "prime minister" this week. AP depicts the latest unelected Western proxy, Abdurrahim el-Keib, as a progressive academic who has spent decades in the United States teaching at Alabama University and leading the local Muslim community. Mentioned briefly as a "former employer," however, is the Petroleum Institute, based in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and sponsored by British Petroleum (BP), Shell, France's Total, the Japan Oil Development Company, and the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company. El-Keib is listed as a "Professor and Chairman" in his Petroleum Institute profile which also describes extensive research conducted by him sponsored by various US government agencies and departments over the years.
Photo: And so begins the farce that is Western "democracy." One corporate-fascist puppet, Mustafa Abdul-Jalil, steps down, another, Abdurrahim el-Keib, takes his place. In reality, it is NATO-states and their corporate sponsors that now determine Libya's fate.

Libya’s National Transitional Council elected Abdurrahim el-Keib, a former electrical engineering professor at the University of Alabama, as the country’s interim prime minister.
El-Keib takes over from Mahmoud Jibril, who resigned when Libya’s “liberation” was declared on Oct. 23, three days after the death of Muammar Qaddafi and the fall of his hometown of Sirte to forces loyal to the transitional administration.

Richard Hoagland: Asteroid YU55 Will Likely Hit the Moon on November 9th (Video)
The Intel Hub
In the last month The Intel Hub has covered the suspicious events leading up to and planned for November 9th, 2011.
YU55, an asteroid the size of an aircraft carrier is set to pass startling close to Earth between the 9th and 11th which is right around the exact time that numerous drills are set to commence, including a FEMA/FCC takeover simulation as well as a massive tsunami drill.
Appearing on the Collision Course radio show hosted by Francis Walsh, Richard Hoagland revealed his belief that YU55 will actually either make direct impact with the moon or make a close pass, within a couple hundred miles, of the moon.

NORML gives full spectrum smackdown to Obama response to marijuana legalization petition

NORML
The Obama White House has released its official response to the “We the People” online petition for marijuana legalization submitted by NORML. The petition, which garnered 74,169 signatures, was by far the most popular petition submitted. The government response (released late on a Friday to avoid news cycles, we’ll note) repeats the same tired lies and classic misdirections. Most of all, it fails to answer NORML’s actual petition, which asked:
Legalize and Regulate Marijuana in a Manner Similar to Alcohol.
We the people want to know when we can have our “perfectly legitimate” discussion on marijuana legalization. Marijuana prohibition has resulted in the arrest of over 20 million Americans since 1965, countless lives ruined and hundreds of billions of tax dollars squandered and yet this policy has still failed to achieve its stated goals of lowering use rates, limiting the drug’s access, and creating safer communities.
Isn’t it time to legalize and regulate marijuana in a manner similar to alcohol? If not, please explain why you feel that the continued criminalization of cannabis will achieve the results in the future that it has never achieved in the past?Following is the full official White House response, with NORML’s comments interspersed…

WASHINGTON (AFP) - The White House said Tuesday that chaos and uncertainty unleashed by Greek's shock call for a referendum on its debt deal showed the need for rapid implementation of a eurozone finance agreement.
But President Barack Obama's spokesman Jay Carney declined to comment directly on the wisdom of the decision by Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou, which left the Greek government reeling and markets in meltdown.
"The announcement he made, just reinforces the notion that... the Europeans... need to elaborate further and implement rapidly the decisions they made last week."

I read frequently among the lesserly neuronal of the supposed honor of soldiers, of the military virtues of courage, loyalty, and uprightness – that in an age of moral decomposition only the military adhere to principles, and that our troops in places like Afghanistan nobly make sacrifices to preserve our freedoms and democracy. Is not all of this nonsense?
Honor? A soldier is just a nationally certified hit-man, perfectly amoral. When he joins the military he agrees to kill anyone he is told to kill, regardless of whether he has previously heard of the country in which he will kill them or whether the residents pose any threat to him or his. How is this honorable? It is cause for lifelong shame.
It is curious that so many soldiers think that they are Christians. Christianity is incompatible with military service, if any Christianity is meant that Christ would have regarded with other than repugnance.

Public Awareness Results in Increased Removal of Fluoride from Community Water

A growing number of communities are choosing to stop adding fluoride to their water systems, even though the federal government and federal health officials maintain their full support of this practice. It was an insane idea from the beginning to add toxic fluoride to the public’s water supply and now that money is getting scarce more people are willing to confront and stop paying for this medical insanity.
Such has been the grip of medical and dental terrorism that it is taking a financial collapse to finally put a stop to the horror of enforcing the mass administration of a medication on men, women and children without control for dosage, side effects or preexisting medical conditions.
200 jurisdictions from Georgia to Alaska that have chosen to end the practice in the last four years, motivated both by tight budgets and by skepticism about its benefits. -- New York Times

LONDON (AFP) - Britain and the United States appealed Tuesday for Internet freedom at a global conference designed to set up the "rules of the road" for cyberspace, although critics accused Western powers of hypocrisy.
Government officials, tech firms, NGOs, bloggers and security experts from more than 60 countries attended the two-day talks in London, and US Vice President Joe Biden also gave an address via video-link from Washington.
In his opening speech to delegates including officials from Russia and China, Hague said the social and economic benefits of the Internet were huge and warned that any states trying to block online activity would lose out.

WASHINGTON (AFP) - Federal Reserve policymakers gathered Tuesday amid deep divisions over policy and how to communicate their intentions, and as they updated their forecasts for the US economy.
As the Fed began a two-day meeting in Washington early Tuesday, observers speculated there was little chance the central bank will announce new actions to prod the economy.
The Fed has provided exceptional support to boost the US economy out of recession, including keeping interest rates between zero and 0.25 percent for nearly three years.

Stop The Drug War
The unhappy reaction to the renewed federal offensive against medical marijuana growers and distributors continues to spread, with several members of Congress and California's attorney general among the latest to voice their displeasure.
Since the Sacramento press conference last month where California's four US Attorneys announced a crackdown on the medical marijuana using heavy-handed raids on businesses in exemplary compliance with state and local laws and a wave of letters to dispensary landlords threaten property seizure or even criminal prosecution if they don't throw out their medical marijuana tenants, reaction among medical marijuana supporters, including elected officials, has been growing.

WASHINGTON (AFP) - Watchdogs at the Federal Reserve on Tuesday announced that customers of four major lenders can seek compensation if their homes were unfairly repossessed.
Amid a tidal wave of foreclosures that have rocked the US economy and a subsequent wave of allegations of shoddy bank practices, the Fed said customers with GM's mortgage arm GMAC, HSBC, SunTrust and EMC could ask for an investigation.
"Borrowers who believe they were financially harmed during the mortgage foreclosure process by four institutions in 2009 and 2010 can now request an independent review and potentially receive compensation."
"Servicers are required to compensate borrowers for financial injury resulting from deficiencies in their foreclosure processes."

JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD, Washington (AFP) - The ringleader of a rogue US army unit accused of killing Afghan civilians for sport treated the locals like "savages," a court martial heard.
The so-called "kill team" led by Staff Sergeant Calvin Gibbs was "out of control," prosecutors added as grisly photos of soldiers posing with a corpse were shown in court.
Gibbs, who sat expressionless in a tiny courtroom where the week-long case is being heard, also allegedly brandished fingers cut off dead bodies in a failed attempt to silence members of his team.
British police surveillance system can turn off mobile phones

Raw Story
Police in London possess a surveillance technology that sounds like something straight out of science fiction: a mobile GSM device that pretends to be a cellular tower, tricking nearby phones into connecting to it, then intercepting all their communications.
The system was developed by the British firm Datong plc, according to The Guardian, which noted that the U.S. Secret Service and a number of Middle Eastern regimes also patronize the company.
The signal this device projects covers an area for 10 miles around, and the variety of data it can produce is specific enough to track the exact location of any mobile device on the network. It can even be used to shut off all mobile devices in its range.
The full range of its capabilities are classified, The Guardian added, and Datong plc did not comment on the initial report.
