The Megabanks are trying to prevent bank runs in the United States (Video)

Pacific Progress

Megabanks around the world are reeling from their customers removing their capital and closing their accounts. People are standing up worldwide in a non-participational form of civil disobedience in order to do anything possible to bring down these corrupt megabanks.

There was an Italian bank run scare in at the beginning of August that really started the gears in motion for the possibilities of future bank runs.

Financial blogs predicted a run on the French banks during the economic turmoil in the EU and Eurozone countries.] Many corporations in France have moved their money out of French banks and into safer short term holdings for the time being.

Similar bank runs in August occurred in the United States, and the megabank Bank Of America had to employ the assistance of the St. Louis SWAT Team to prevent customers from closing their accounts and moving their money to smaller banks.

Ad
The bank run issue even hit mainstream media in the United States, covered here by NPR.

Since the Occupy protests have started, big banks have been the prime target of disgruntled humans for their corrupt practices of taking peoples homes, robbing the elderly, and funding many illicit activities that normal Americans would face prison time over.

On September 30th, families and individual customers of Bank of America had a sit in protest to show civil disobedience against the megabank. 20+ of the protesters were arrested.

This was also covered on the local mainstream media news in Boston.

It would seem as if America is done with the megabanks, and for good reason. I came across this blog recently and information that there is a bank run being planned in the United States on December 7th.

Operation Bank Run 7th Of December:

Many have already closed their accounts with the megabanks. I closed mine years ago, after the financial disaster in 2008 and the bank bailouts. Many are closing their accounts today.

In horrendous fashion, Citibank held more than twenty of their customers hostage and imprisoned them until police could come to arrest them all.

The video above shows a well-dressed customer of Citibank outside talking with another customer about having been inside and having tried to close her account. A plain-clothers officer then starts yelling from behind her and drags her and her friend inside the bank to be arrested with the other Citibank customers. This is simply egregious activity by the officers in New York and the megacorporation Citigroup.

The end of the international banking cartel, their fiat currency that is imploding society by design, and the revival of sound money is at hand. But we must first be sure to force these too big to fail banks into oblivion. Let us keep the pressure up on them, and force their monopolies to come down. If the government and our ‘elected representatives’ won’t stand up for the rule of law, then we must come together to enforce it ourselves through direct democracy and non-participation.

It shows the true corrupt nature of these banks for arresting people for withdrawling their own money! Is that a crime? Are you serious? Shes was dragged inside? Really? Its time to get serious, get active and get involved!

Unbelievable. I am without words except REVOLT!

You can refuse to put your money in the big banks to stop their corruption and you can also refuse to vote in a corrupt election system and legitimize the puppet put into office for us.

I can understand refusing to give your money to the corrupt Mega-CorpsTM and the Global-BanksTM, but we need to vote in people that will enforce the laws and get rid of the political corruption. Vote Ron Paul in and help get rid of the political corruption.

There must be some law against closing your bank account that only the banks and the police know about. Either that or the police are working for the banks and simply doing what the banks tell them to.

I don't like banks, but this video is misleading. Those people got in the bank protesting, they are part of "Occupy Wall St" see how 2 of them have faces painted white, they were told to leave and refused. The bank called the police to get them out of there. That lady outside was with the protesters...It's easy to manipulate info in videos like this, but as I say, I hate banks and corporations, but showing stuff like this, misinforming viewers is not ethical neither, not the way to fight them...

I closed my account a couple years back when my account was compromised and all BoA told me they could do is close my account and open another one. When I did that, they started to collect "bounce fees" from my new account that were a result of my old account being compromised! They said there was nothing they could do, that was when I decided banks were not in my best interests! As far as "voting them out", think about this, if NO ONE voted in the next Presidential election, we would still have a new President"voted in" by the the votes of the House and Senate alone . . does that sound like your vote counts, if an election can by "won" without the vote of the general poplulation?

Anonymous said...

(er... an election was ALREADY won without the vote of the general population!)

Bruce Hayden said...

Let me say this for about the millionth time. As long as we have electronic voting machines our vote is a meaningless joke. The 'vote 'em out' crowd is as stupid as those who believe we have a two party system. They live in a false paradigm.
Get real, peeps!

Anonymous said...

They should just all discreetly withdraw all their funds, that way they arent stopped.

And THEN stand in front of the bank and say you ALREADY DID IT!!! Sheesh

Banks offer no benefits for the average American - they simply limit the access to your money and then charge you for spending it. A pistol and a heavy duty safe is much more secure in my opinion.

If you enjoy allowing a corporation to use your money for their own gain, or flipping it for profit by using scandalous legal loopholes, then by all means, use a bank. But if you like real security, cash you can see and access 24/7 and no worries about what to do in the event of a financial meltdown or power grid collapse, keep your own cash. A high quality safe and a gun and/or dog is all you need.

I tried to close my BA account last week and like others they refused. However, I circumvented them by doing an online transfer to my new bank lol

Take these steps first.

Open your local CU accounts, including ATM, Debit, Credit Cards.

Stop using ATM, debit, and credit cards from the bank you intend to leave. Canceling a credit card may hurt your credit score. Simply pay down the balance and keep the card account open, just use it on occasion and pay off the balance each month.

Through your employer, change direct deposit of your pay check to your new CU accounts.

Direct any online bill paying to your new CU account.

Once these steps are completed, you can choose to close your "Too Big to Fail" account, or use the remaining funds to pay bills until the account balance is close to zero and then enter the bank (not in costume) and politely ask to close your account.

Online transfer of funds from you bank to your CU may be an option as already mentioned.

Without question this is all orchestrated. We have a constitution in this country. There is a reason banks have a revolving door to the treasury and whitehouse. Because that is were the power still remains. (Remember the military ...)

Most of us have zero clue and no plan. The ones pushing social disruption are prepared for when the "mega banks collapse".

Baby + bath water. Remove dirty bath water. Keep baby.

You want to protest as 99%? Show up at the Congress, White House, and Supreme Court. Kick them all out, get rid of the "2" parties, and start again. But be prepared for getting the Argentine treatment from the global cabal and being called a rogue state. (Why do you think they have been transferring our tech and know-how to China and India (BRIC)? The new bully boys.)

It will be rough waters ahead but we can pull through. Look back at American history, be inspired, and let's take our country back.

Don't fall for the propaganda designed to destabilize and ultimately discard our constitution.

People, you have to be more creative while fighting the financial gangsters. Don't close your accounts. Just keep taking money through the banking machines or tellers. Once you have 2 or 3 cents left, call them and close your account and ask them to mail you the balance in a form of a check. They would have to spend more money to mail you check for 2 or 4 cents. Many of you do not have hundreds of thousands on your accounts anyway. Stop depositing and keep withdrawing. Once you have withdrawn the money, do not keep it in cash-exchange it for goods. The ideal way is to exchange their fiat money for gold, silver, platinum, copper, etc. I hope you understand the mechanics. They've been looting your gold reserves in exchange for fiat money. Now give this worthless paper back to them, in exchange for your gold and silver.

don't go into a bank and scream about closing your accounts. go in silently, queue like any other customer. then close your account. protest done! if you scream, shout or do anything else to disrupt the business you are justly arrested. keep your protests to the legal limits. if you want to shout your most inner thoughts stand outside on public property and scream all you want. but these shouting matches inside only help the other side...

The banksters will all be in prison soon!

Don't try to close your account. Just go to a credit union and open one, putting all the money that is in the Big Bank account in it, except for a few cents.

This way, the Big Bank will then not have their money to work with and they will still have to send out the monthly report at their expense.

The Big Banks will be stuck with the expense of dealing with the paperwork, but no return on a few cents.

Credit Unions are the way to go... be sure to find one's that have a board of directors that area all volunteers. Furthermore do your best to remove all of your liability to the bank, revolving and non-revolving credit/(debt.) As well begin to plan how you are going to feed yourselves.

haven't you ever seen louis CK's stand up special? he had like 10 bucks on his account. the bank called and said he didnt have enough money on the account so they charged him $20. leaving him in dept!

the banks can do what they want with your money. get it out!

EVERY American, with more than TWO BRAIN CELLS, should've been moving their money into a local or regional CREDIT UNION at the end of 2008. After all the "Too-Big-To-Fail" (No-Banker-Left-Behind) Bailouts.

So. What, then, are our options?

Why confront bank tellers? These peoplpe live paycheck-to-paycheck like most of the rest of us. The people working at your local branch are not the "1%".

As well, why confronthe banks in a context in which we have the disadvantage? On their private property, thay can refuse, and call the cops.

Instead, why not either: spend all the money in your account, for durable goods or necesities, and accomplish two things at once - diminisshing the capital of the banks, and the inventory of the merchandisers?

No one can stop us from shopping. But durable goods, and essential conssumables, from local merchants, and stockpile our wealth in the form of commodities, not bankers' capital.

As well, the ATM machines are always open.

I'm sick of the writers of these articles using the term "Democracy" like it's a good thing:

we must come together to enforce it ourselves through direct democracy and non-participation.

The problem with democracy is that it boils down to "mob rules". The majority outvotes the minority and it doesn't matter whether or not what they are voting on is right or wrong. We do not live in a democracy and we're supposed to live under a Constitutional Republic.

I don't want to live under a worldwide democracy or even a U.S. democracy. In order for democracy to work people must be educated and even then it's a stretch. Without a good constitution (we don't have one yet) to reign in lawlessness no form of democracy can work.

All this shows is that a financial institution (quite rightly, in my opinion) won't let a mob with bullhorns and uncontrolled emotions come into its premises...and I seriously doubt that every person in that mob has an account there. Now if they choose to show up one person at a time, go into the bank, speak to an account manager, and close their account, that's one thing; but not as an unruly mob. Get real, people.

The first sign of a third world nation is the selective enforcement of the law. Voting with your money can go to yet another step. Put your money into small locally owned and operated CU's or banks. Also, stop buying from the big box stores. Buy from Mom and Pop shops as much as humanly possible. This concept was first espoused by Catherine Austine Fitts at Solari dot com. It's called place based ecomomics. If there are no Mom & Pop shops in your place then start one. Money is like energy. Globalization has produced economic short circuits across the US. Check Catherine's interviews out on YouTube. Pulling your money out of the TapeWorm is a good first step. But, there is more to do.

Converting paper fiat currencies into REAL MONEY Gold & Silver coins & bars IS THE MOST EFFECTIVE PROTEST YOU CAN DO AGAINST THE BIG BANKS.

The ONLY thing the criminals running the banks are interested in is YOUR MONEY being in THEIR BANK. The take our deposits, multiply it by as much as 40-times and claim that’s how much money that have on tap to loan out AT INTEREST, plus fees. Wouldn’t we all love to have a system where you can POOF! Instantly make $500,000 Ferrari cars to sell or lease out, AT INTEREST, plus FEES!

The old biblical word is “USERY.” It should really be called, “ABUSERY.” That’s what it really is.

If you want to pull your money out of the bank, DO IT! If you are not able to do so, consider these things you can do EVERY DAY.

STOP USING YOUR DEBIT CARDS – Every time you use a debit cars it costs the merchant. Why do we need a bank between us and a merchant. US CASH! Since when did having paper bills in your pocket become a burden? When you buy gasoline, the gas station charges you MORE to cover the merchant charge!

STOP USING YOUR CREDIT CARDS - Unless it’s an emergency or you need to get a plane ticket, put off your purchase until you have CASH! Even if you pay your credit card in full every month, the merchant gets charged and you still pay an annual fee to the bank just to have a piece of plastic in your wallet.

IF YOUR BANK HAS A MONTHLY FEE FOR CHECKING, FIND A SMALL LOCAL BANK -

GET YOUR MONEY OUT OF THE STOCK MARKET – They call it the “Dow Jones Industrials” when it should be the “Dow Jones Financials.” Wall Street doesn’t like industry because it’s dirty, hard work, and they DON’T like that. They make fortunes without getting dirty today. If you are trying to “invest” in the stock market, you are in a FOOLS GAME. With flash trading and electronic trading, the days of the little investor are OVER.

The only thing the banks care about is YOUR MONEY. They could CARE LESS about YOU. If your job is stripped away and you can’t make your mortgage, the home you have been paying on IS THEIRS! They WIN and YOU LOSE! This is a RIGGED GAME, so DON’T PLAY.

If you want to do a groin shot on the bank, STOP DOING BUSINESS WITH THEM.
