The majority of people are moral cowards who tell themselves that “we have to just get through this and things will eventually get better,” or are contented by telling themselves that “we have to go along in order to get along”. Native peoples shared this philosophy at the beginning. The government went back on hundreds of established agreements with the Natives. What makes you think they haven’t already reigned on their promise to the Constitution? It would be a logical fallacy to think otherwise. Political activism will undoubtedly continue in America, but the rules have changed. No longer will the government pretend to restrain itself with the Constitution. Freedom of speech is on paper, but it is not honored by the system. Therefore, I urge all activists to take the time to watch this video, as it is the last semblance of legal protection we have left.
