Mobile Surveillance Towers to be Showcased to Congress (Video)

The Mobile Utility Surveillance Tower (MUST) is slated for demonstration to The House of Representatives, Senate and their staffs today, according to Homeland Security Newswire.

This announcement of technology that will enable local police to address “emergency response, crowd control, or general surveillance” comes on the heels of the latest Homeland Security Report detailing a call for just such cooperation between federal authorities and local law enforcement to combat the new terror threat that resides on American soil. 

Terrahawk, LLC is the designer of the mobile units already in use for Mexico-U.S. border control in Texas, and has quick set-up time and maneuverability.  It is equipped with the latest in high-tech surveillance gadgetry.  It is slated for order across the United States.  This type of prison-style tower system has in fact been recorded already in places such as mall parking lots and sporting events.  Here is the advanced form of just such a tower, as shown in the Terrahawk video below — it’s even touted as “green,” meeting EPA emission standards:
