September 11, 2011 will mark an entire decade that the US has been at war. The grassroots organization 10 Years + Counting invites artists to use the power of creativity on that historic date to illustrate the costs of war and imagine a more peaceful world.

According to 10YAC the possibilities are endless. Make art. Create a show, a spectacle, a happening, a sculpture, a dance, a flash mob, a bake sale, a roving parade, a choir, etc. List your event on their website.

About 10YAC:

“10YAC advocates against war and for peace via the arts and community engagement, however no one person, organization, or vision is behind this effort. We are a grassroots community of artists, journalists, academics, veterans, educators, and organizations from around the US, committed to exposing the true costs of war and working towards a more peaceful world.”
