Government recruits doctors to become thought police, pinpoint potential terrorists among their patients

Outrageous new “counter-terrorism” measures being proposed in the UK are receiving a public relations backlash because of their extreme, fascist overtones. The UK government’s “Prevent” program, which allegedly aims to protect against terrorism, is being reformulated to recruit doctors to both spy on their patients, then report to authorities those patients suspected of becoming potential terrorists.

In complete contradiction to the private doctor-patient relationship, the new proposals encourage doctors to identify and target patients whom they believe to be “vulnerable to being drawn into terrorism,” and report them to government authorities. Naturally, the UK’s Muslim community stands to be targeted the most under the new guidelines, as doctors who participate in the program will likely falsely accuse and report many of their Middle Eastern patients as potential terrorists.

Such heinous actions, of course, are akin to what took place in Nazi Germany during the Holocaust, except they may be even worse as they presume guilt upon innocent individuals before any actual crime has even occurred. A doctor’s mere perception that a patient may one day become a terrorist, or may be susceptible to becoming one based on a perceived personality trait, is enough to get that patient reported to authorities under the new proposals.

According to the UK’s Guardian, Home Secretary Theresa May has not only laid out the proposed guidelines, but she is also attempted to diffuse criticism of the plan by expanding the scope of potential terrorist profiling to include animal rights extremists and those on the “far right” of the political spectrum.

Similar to tactics routinely used by the US Department of Homeland Security (http://www.naturalnews.com/Homeland…) and the US Transportation Security Administration (http://www.naturalnews.com/TSA.html), the British government’s new “counter-terrorism” scheme is nothing more than a flimsy, false flag excuse to exert more power and control over the British people. The game is simple — invent a boogeyman, scare the people with it, and propose increased “security” measures that strip innocent citizens of their privacy and freedom.
