8 Strange Earth Changes That May Threaten Civilization

Activist Post

Say what, two suns may be visible from Earth in 2012? Everyday we seem to be getting bombarded with warning signs that our planet is changing rapidly.  In fact, many of the changes are occurring for the first time in modern recorded history and all seem to indicate a need for civilization to adapt.

Record-breaking heat and cold are striking all corners of the globe; earthquake activity has spiked, even in places thought not to have active fault lines; birds, bees, fish, and other animals are dropping dead with no coherent cause, and there is a flurry of talk about galactic anomalies beginning to happen.

Since the man-made global warming theory has simmered down from a boil, many other concerns have surfaced that appear to minimize possible effects of CO2 concentrations as our greatest concern. Sure, many of these changes may be connected in some way, but the idea that there is a silver bullet to stop this train of collective events is unlikely.

One thing we can say is that we live in very interesting times.  These unprecedented events are accelerating at a blistering pace, as we hurl through space on this ball we call Earth. It seems this turbulent cycle is going to continue to manifest despite our best human efforts to stop it.  The only thing we can hope to do is digest the available information and plan for the worst, while hoping for the best.  Assuredly, humans possess a far greater ability to adapt through technology than the animal kingdom, yet we certainly can't thrive without protecting the entire biosphere.

Here are 8 strange Earth changes that should demand our attention:

1. Environmental collapse: The global environment has been in an exponential rate of degradation for some time.  Our economic system can be likened to Pac-Man gobbling up everything in sight until it's game over, except that Pac-Man doesn't crap out waste like our economy does. Furthermore, we can't just put another quarter in the machine and hit the reset button.  From the industrial-chemical agriculture business destroying soil, water, and wildlife on a mass scale, to over-fishing the oceans, the Gulf Oil Spill, chemical spraying, strip mining, gas fracking, water toxicity and the like; our entire habitat seems to be in critical need of healing if we expect to maintain life as a whole.  Real environmentalists must wake up from their "Inconvenient" trance and realize there's much more to saving the ecosystem than simply reducing CO2 output.

2. Record tectonic activity:  Many earthquake researchers have noted the demonstrable uptick in earthquake frequency and strength, with 2010 hitting record levels.  The Chile quake rocked the planet, causing us to actually lose a fraction of the length of our year.  This increased activity is precisely what was predicted by science researcher, Lawrence Joseph, who documented in his book Apocalypse 2012 that our entire solar system is traveling through an interstellar energy cloud, which would produce significant observable earth changes beginning in 2009.  Renowned physicist, Michio Kaku, has recently warned that enormous earthquakes in our lifetime threaten the mega cities we have created, which only compounds the threat.  In addition to galactic changes, there is mounting evidence that the human activity of industrial gas fracking -- particularly in Arkansas -- may have led to earthquake swarms in a region which is not normally active.   Now we learn that FEMA is buying massive amounts of MREs, blankets, body bags, and other provisions in anticipation of potential catastrophe along the New Madrid Fault.

3. Magnetic Pole Shift: There is clear evidence throughout history of the magnetic poles wandering and even completely reversing.  One of the many functions of Earth's magnetic field is to be a natural compass for animals that rely on it for navigation.  A second function would be as a protective barrier against solar flares and space radiation.  The news lately has been peppered with dead birds and fish, beached whales, bee colony collapse, and animals dropping dead everywhere for no discernible reason.  Many theories have been put forward related to localized events, but the global nature of the overall die-off might better indicate an all-encompassing source like the shifting of the poles.  An interesting article on SOTT also claims, "there is some correlation between magnetic reversals, ice ages, sea level drops and likely a whole host of other data indicative of catastrophic activity."  There is no doubt that the north magnetic pole is moving rapidly toward Russia.  The question is whether or not it will increase toward a cataclysmic event, or continue its path resulting in a wide variety of changes, such as recent airport runway closures, that will require humanity to adapt in more subtle ways.

4. Volcanic Activity: The recent alert of ground levels rising at Yellowstone, sitting atop one of the world's largest supervolcanoes, has bulged a full 10 inches over a section measured in miles is concerning.  Along with earthquakes, volcanoes also have dramatically increased in activity.  Throughout the Ring of Fire, dormant volcanoes have flared up, and others have increased their output.  This is yet another indication of global earth changes, which may at the very least require large populations to relocate, and at worst could threaten civilization.

Aussie Floods
5. Extreme Weather: Tom Engelhardt recently wrote, "From now on, rising prices, powerful storms, severe droughts and floods, and other unexpected events are likely to play havoc with the fabric of global society." Engelhardt predicts that high prices for oil, as well as food shortages will surely lead to riots around the world. The extreme weather that has been increasingly ravaging the planet in the last few years is likely caused by one or more of the earth changes outlined in this list.  However, the effects are one tangible sign that Earth's climate is shifting in some way. Droughts and floods are showing up in unusual places with more intensity, and unusually harsh arctic winters are pounding Europe, the United States, and elsewhere.  If we accept these type of weather events to be the new norm, then civilization must at least adapt its food production methods and locations.  We're already seeing a major toll on food prices, which may quickly become a global food crisis in 2011.

6. Weakening Ocean Currents: The Thermohaline Circulation (THC) system is the conveyor belt in the world's oceans that transfers heat from equatorial waters to cooler regions.  Weakened or changing ocean currents are being blamed for the extreme cold weather in Europe and warm weather in Greenland. As dramatically shown in the movie The Day After Tomorrow when the North Atlantic Current breaks down, so does the global climate.  Despite record heat spikes in the summers, some believe the longer and harsher winters due to changes in the ocean currents may result in a new ice age.  This underestimated force is so powerful that even slight changes will force humanity to rediscover their nomadic traits.

7. Galactic Anomalies:  Reports that the sun rose two days early in Greenland, and that two suns may be visible from earth in 2012 -- the same year as the end of the Mayan galactic calendar and the myth of an approaching planet in our binary solar system -- all seem to render grade-school Earth Science textbooks thoroughly obsolete.  Many have speculated about the ramifications of approaching galactic events, but there are no accepted or overriding theories.  However, there is a good chance that some physical effects will be felt on Earth if the force of gravity is altered from planetary alignments and/or approaching celestial objects.  Keep your eye on the sky and a go-bag at the ready.

8. Solar Activity: It seems that the sun is still very unpredictable, but when she twitches, so do we.  Although many have predicted that a severe solar maximum will peak in the next few years potentially causing blasts of electromagnetic radiation to disrupt major communication systems and perhaps elevate tectonic activity, NASA claims the sun's Great Conveyor Belt has slowed to a "walking pace" in 2006 claiming, “We’ve never seen speeds so low . . . the slowdown we see now means that Solar Cycle 25, peaking around the year 2022, could be one of the weakest in centuries."  NASA also reported that the sun experienced a rapid pole reversal in 2001 stating, "Our star's magnetic field has flipped."  NASA said that this occurrence is normal and expects another flip in 2012.  Even though they claim it has no affect on Earth, the speed of our planet's pole shift has increased over the last decade.

There's no saying for sure what ramifications, if any, these anomalies will cause, but they should be investigated in a serious manner.  The challenges facing humanity are difficult enough without constant deceptions and distractions. Collectively, we should demand clear answers about the real threats that are obviously beginning to affect our civilization. Adaptation will be much less painful if we are armed with knowledge and resources. The best thing we can do, individually, is to get educated and become as self-sufficient as possible.

Interesting topics, and all of them have particular facts, however when you investigate deeper into these topics, I have found that drawing such conclusions is a bit to far. Example Native elders say that people have blown this whole Mayan 2012 thing out of proportion. It's there prophesy wouldn't they have the accurate interpretation? Example two the two sun's. The astronomical source would be a super nova that would explode out approximately 11 light years distance over a total of 600 light years distance from us. Hardly something that would look like a second sun ect. Truly I think that these are important topics, but we should look at them with accuracy, and scientific fact.

It must suck to be FEMA. First people complain they didn't do enough for Katrina. Now they are complaining when they buy MREs to be ready. How many people are planning to take care of themselves if any of these things come to be?

What a load of scaremongering nonsense.

The Earths Axis is Shifting 180 Degrees and will do so until late 2012 day by day, very noticeable now, earthquakes are getting more frequent and stronger also, and water bodies moving

YOU ARE BLIND He/she who commented "scaremongering nonsense" and why are you on this site?

CALL IT BIBLICAL OR NOT..

It's the chemtrails, causing all this..
Haarp and others, deep drill, causes sinc holes.. that's why most never look up, then think to taking action.

a giant smoke and mirrors trick.. then bluebeam starts displaying the invasion to tip it off and start the chaos..

The people who say this is scaremongering nonsense need to wake up. How is being forewarned considered scaremongering? So what are we not supposed to be warned? It doesn't matter. These events are going to come. Denial will not stop it.

Scaremongering nonsense?! LOL! Then what are we not supposed to be warned about these events? It doesn't matter. They are coming and denial won't stop them unfortunately.

Each of these events, in themselves, are cause to be very worried. The real worry is they are beginning to happen all at once! I do belive there is going to be a pole shift. These anomalies are just the earth getting ready. They are also a sign that we should be getting ready, if we are to survive. No one can predict just how bad things will get but you can expect monsterous tidal waves, earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. Those who chose to laugh and ignore all the warning signs may wish they hadn't. I hope that I am wrong, but if I am not I want to be prepared.

I feel fortunate to have been warned about these things that will come to pass. The biggest challenge in all of this is when trying to get people to listen, especially those who we love and want to be safe. I want to be prepared. I love this creation and it will be awful to watch it be torn apart and see needless casualties. God help us.

We are ALL going to die sometime. At least we can wonder what the hell is going on here to distract us for a while. I believe that I know but only a liar would say he or she is not a bit afraid.

Almost all of these phenomena can be attributed to the presence of Planet X in the solar system. Ancient civilizations warned us about Planet X, because it returns every 3,600 years or so to wreak havoc on all the planets in the solar system, including Earth. In all likelihood, it will become visible in the daytime sky this year or next year when it makes its closest passage to Earth. It will appear to be a second sun in the sky. See this: www.brussellsprout.blogspot.com.

Come on, we all know that after pumping billons of barrels of oil out of the ground and pumping the gases into the air that there has to be problems.

Think about it, empty pockets underground everywhere with the displacement of the oils pumped out.
What is filling these voids? Somethings got to go there right? As the earth collapses from inside we get pole shifts, quakes, shifting bodies of water. It ain't going to get any better, hug your loved ones cause 2012 is coming and it ain't going to be pretty.

Imagine two clay balls,football-size, hanging in strings side by side. One has a number of cavities filled with an inert fluid, the others cavities are empty. Now both are set rotating with the samme force. Will they rotate equally long and with same speed? If the balls are planets the difference will impact the speed and so the rotation around the Sun. We might see the planet (Earth) either come closer or go faster than the other. The inert fluid is oil, of course, it probably is where it is for a reason;anyway you can´t expect it to make no difference. The Mayan calendar is circular indicating that it continues in the cirkel (around the Galaxy) as a cirkel has no end. The 2012 -point probably is a very significant point in our journey with the Sun-system around (and up and down) the center of the Galaxy, or they would not have chosen this particular point when a new trip begins, exposing knowledge superior to to-days science that has only recently discovered the electric and electro-magnetic forces of Universe. There are all kinds of theories why it is a important point in time and space-some say it is real beneficial for humans, including revitalising of the "junk-DNA (which probably is there for a reason). The fact may be that on our journey we come to other environments, meaning influences from other Galaxies, other radiations from celestial bodies, other gases or materials than those we have known for some/many millenias. So there are new times up front ,un-imaginable? futures will be experienced, probably containing huge numbers of other Galactic races, as the Universe maybe is teeming with life, as usual the opposite of what the mind-prisons have accustomed us to think is the truth. They have been lying about everything else. Earth the only planet with life? You must be joking, look at some Hubble-pics. of the Universe and you will understand how stupid, ridiculous and laughable into dizzy-ness that is.

I agree with you all that something is definitely taking place everyday. When I watch the National Weather channel and see the disasters (daily) all over the world, you cannot ignore that. If you been on the earth as long as most of us, how many can say they remember this happening back to back to back no let up. I remember hurricanes happening but nothing like this especiaally when you see it off season. I agree with Harry above, much greed will kill us all, thanks to our governments and those wanting control. They can go straight to hell!!

The native elders do not say to ignore the warnings...very wrong. All you have to do is take a photo of the sun. Notice the orange ball; I have been taking pictures of the sun for the last month, every time there it is. I believe this is a necessary change, a change we should not fear, it is natural it is what it is and that is, it is here.

Anonymous said...

Pictures of the sun? Orange ball? What do you mean?

Those who are in denial, are in fear. The days of change for our planet is already upon us and there is no going back until our great mother has shaken off the parasitic infestation (all of US)!! Some will survive it all, and those who rule now, will rule no more. A new Earth is coming and these are exciting times, enjoy the ride.

Received an old bible from my recently passed away dad; read Matthew 24 - interesting esp. 7,8.
Enjoy.

Now.. it is changing day by day by day. Each morning and evening new news hits us. Mayanmar yesterday morning. Japan 3 weeks ago, Chile in January, Cluster quakes all over the Pac Rim. How many more people want to deny this? no one can deny Indonesia is sinking. But NO ONE IS TALKING ABOUT IT ON OUR MEDIA!

Anonymous said...

Wow, have a drink of the purple stuff. You conclusions are laughable.

Anonymous said...

Sure, some of the stuff in the article doesn't make sense, but most of it does. How long do you think we can sustain civilization as we know it? One day, it's all going to collapse, because of our own greed. We need to learn to be a part of this planet and nature itself if we want to survive, but as of now, I see civilization nowhere near that. But once all the humans have died out, the planet will go on. It will return to its natural state and it will be like we never existed. And then, the sun will turn into a red giant and consume the inner solar system. So then earth and everything ever known will be gone forever. An end must come to everything.

Anyone still here?

Well, here it is, the end of October here in the northern hemisphere, and I still have plenty of food to eat. The trees are turning, the rivers are flowing and it starting to feel like fall. All normal, according to my experience of the last 49 years. In the past I have allowed myself to get all caught up in this type of fear, but alas, i'm still going strong and so are my kin. So don't worry, be kind to your fellow man, and respect nature and all it provides us. Peace to all.

If you haven't noticed that things on earth are changing fast, you're either a recluse or living in complete denial. Either way, its time to get over it! Open your eyes and have a good look around you.
Perhaps the weather is a a little different than it's ever been in your neck of the woods. Tornadoes are spinning the wrong way for the first time in our recorded history. Flash flooding is a daily occurrence in many countries. Massive snow storms have hammered the Northern Hemisphere in recent years. There are locations in Mexico where the ground temperature has exceeded 200 degrees Fahrenheit. The earth's magnetic field is fading fast. The north pole is moving rapidly towards Russia. The jet stream, an extremely fast air current that flows through the upper atmosphere, touched ground recently for the first time ever. The concentration of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere is rising exponentially. The poles are melting at the rate of knots. The birds and the bees and the fish are dropping dead with no apparent cause. All over the world, migratory birds have stopped returning to their nesting grounds. Whales are beaching all over the place. Salmon are no longer returning to their spawning grounds. Indigenous people throughout the world have stopped having children. Record-breaking temperatures, both hot and cold, are striking all corners of the earth. Earthquake activity has spiked, even in places thought not to have active fault lines. I could go on forever and a day; the list is endless. Everyday we are getting bombarded by warning signs that the earth is changing rapidly. Eventually the changes will become so extreme and affect so many people that the entire world will become aware that major changes are taking place. At some specific finite moment in time, there will be a condition of critical mass, and life on earth will become disrupted like never before for a short period of time, way beyond what most people are capable of imagining, let alone surviving. Personally, I will not be making any survival preparations whatsoever, both for myself and for others, regardless of the hardships before, during and after these dramatic changes. Everyone has free choice and every choice has a consequence, so technically speaking there are no right or wrong choices at play here. So I have decided to live my life to the fullest until it's time to say goodbye, and will cross over joyfully without becoming concerned about any survival activities at all. My survival is guaranteed in any case. So is yours. It's simply a matter of what form we choose to assume. And I am not afraid in the slightest of what we call death, even if I pass away suddenly in a tsunami, because I know there's no such thing as death, just simply going home.
Don't get me wrong for a minute. In no way am I making a selfish or wrong decision, nor am I shirking my responsibilities. I don't have a death wish. Indeed, I would much prefer to die naturally. Death arrives when it's time, every time. So my advice to you is make the most of your life while you can and stop worrying about something you have no control over.

"sun rose two days early". Correct me if I'm wrong, but the sun rises on a daily basis, and therefore cannot be two days early only a few hours early at the most. So I think the term "scaremongering nonsense" is perfectly acceptable in correlation with #7.

Hah. Hah. HAH! Oh, this is absolutely gorgeous. First of all, can i point out that if for some reason there were another star attempting to introduce itself to our solar system we would see it coming from (literally) light years away which would leave us just enough time to void our bowels a final time before our atmosphere was burned away and half the planets in the solar system destroyed. Also, hello! We're still here, what went wrong? ;)
